Player Ratings vs Watford -
O'Leary - 7.5 - Wasn't overly busy but did bail Diakite out early with a crucial save.
Galves - 7.5 - Best game by a distance, looked more of a threat going forward and much better defensively, a couple of minor lapses but nothing major.
Mepham - 7 - Overall solid, some really sloppy play in the first half but looked more assured as the game progressed.
Campbell - 7 - Basically the same as Mepham.
Styles - 7.5 - One really poor piece of play that he got away with early but other than that looked like the POTS from last year.
Diakite - 6.5 - Mixed bag, got very lucky early on, and generally seemed to lack the assurance he's shown recently. Did make a crucial block in the second half though.
Nzingoula - 7 - Energetic, always looked to play forward and make something happen, sometimes to the teams detriment. Faded as the game progressed and was a little overexuberrent with his pressing that put teamates (Diakite in particular) under pressure.
Whitwell - 8 MOTM - Just quality, always looked the most likely to make something happen. deserved the assist and could have had 2 more, need to get his contract sorted ASAP.
Price - 7 - Difficult to rate, was very quite overall. And struggled to influence the game, particularly in the 2nd half. Was vital for the goal though.
Morgan - 7.5 - Much more comfotable with a line leader along side him. Much more of a threat and will be slightly disapointed to only have one goal.
Heggebo - 6.5 - Strange performance, clearly not 100% after his illness and looked laboured and a bit leggy. Worked as hard as ever and should have scored. Does seem to bring out the best Morgan.
Subs -
Molumby - We got the full Molumby experience, passing was all over the place, but he seemed to be in 4 places at once, won everything it seems, dragged us forward, lifted the crowd and shifted momentum and got know Watford out of shape when they were on top. Chaotic is probably the best word. But it's what we needed in that moment.
Horn-Myhre - The Ying to Molumbys' Yang, oozed calmness and offered the composure needed to see the game out.
Phillips - Did his job, somehow managed to get a booking but looked assured enough.
Stewart - Looked lively, won a few flick ons, seemed to use his body better than we've seen previously. Helped us get up field.
