Bustleholme Bullets F.C. 0-2 FC Premier

We kicked off our season today welcoming FC Premier to GSA.
Two evenly matched teams fought out in a great game in the heat & humidity of the late summer we're having.

Bustleholme kicked off with the instruction to keep the ball on the deck and work the opposition by letting the ball do the work, unfortunately after only a few passes we were caught out, surrendered the ball in our defensive half and with the first shot of the game the visitors went ahead with a powerful shot into the bottom corner.
We kicked off again and got into mode a bit quicker this time round and managed to pin FC Premier back for a while, although creating very little. FCP were a constant danger throughout though as there big, powerful forward was holding the ball up well every time they came forward and pulling the strings making them a dangerous proposition at times.
As both teams traded blows and Bullets were looking more and more dangerous, a shot from nowhere from the left hand side of the box couldn't have been hit any better and fired into the far corner of the net to put the visitors 2 up just before Half Time.

HT 0-2

Second half was a very similar to the first. A fairly even game with Bustleholme playing out from the back very well and multiple times beating the opposition press with good passing and movement. Once this was done we seemed to struggle slightly with decision making going towards the final third, and although there was most of the game being played at high tempo from box to box, neither team really created much in the 18 yard box.
The game slowed down from the heat towards the end and FCP saw the game out well and recorded a victory against Bustleholme Bullets F.C.

FT 0-2

Really impressed with the way we played our football today. At times the passing out from the back was superb. Commented on by the opposition. However decision making let us down a little today, not releasing the ball quick enough in the last third meant we didn't get anywhere near enough shots off today.
Seeing this was our first game as a squad theres plenty to be proud of, and plenty to work on in the upcoming weeks. Looking forward to the challenge.

We are looking for a few more players to add to the squad. Primarily looking for a centre back, but other positions considered.
Great group of lads with a good level of coaching and an outlook to improve players and bring them on.

U15’s PRE SEASON STARTING THIS WEEK.

Bullets pre season is starting this week and we are looking for new players to join our squad. Any positions considered as we are looking at building the squad for the upcoming season after our summer break.

Training is at Charlemont playing fields, Camberley Rise, West Bromwich, B71 3NW
18:30-19:30/20:00ish
Wednesday 5th July

**********LOOKING FOR PLAYERS**********

Bustleholme Bullets U14's are currently looking for some experienced players to boost their squad.
Having only started up in the summer we have already achieved a promotion and are enjoying the success of the players development.
We need to add a bit more experience to the ranks and numbers. So if you want a new challenge with no pressure or are just looking for something different, please get in touch and come and try a training session or two with us.
We train Wednesday evening 18:00-19:00 at George Salters Academy, West Bromwich on a quality 3g pitch where we also play most of our home games.

Walsall Wood Jnrs City v Bustleholme Bullets U14’s

Bullets travelled up to Clayhanger today to face another of the Walsall Wood Teams.

Bullets started the game well and pushed City back deep into their half early on, creating a few chances that they failed to capitalise on. Limiting City to a few counter attacking chances, Bullets continued to dominate the early blows until a City goal kick fell to Harley who managed dribble to the edge of the box, find a bit of space and fire into the bottom corner of the net on 15 minutes.
The half continued in the same manor and Bullets kept failing to make the most of their opportunities, many attempts failing to work the City Keeper and not hit the target.
Towards the end of the half some good football kept City pinned back again and for the second time, a poor cleared goal kick fell to Harley who this time found the top right corner to give the Bullets a little breathing space as City had started to edge back into the game and create a few half chances.

HT 0-2

Second half City seemed to tweak their formation slightly and again started to look more dangerous. Playing their fastest player further forward who started to cause the Bullets some problems. Although Bullets still looked the better side, there was always the risk of a mistake happening and City getting back in the game and getting their tails up.
on 45, Bullets gave themselves a little more breathing space when a great pass from Seb saw Harley manage to find space on the edge of the box again and get his hat trick with another great finish.
It was a good job the third had gone in as a few minutes later City broke and managed to convert a chance inside the box to give them hope.
Bullets began to walk a bit of a tight rope as City started to believe they could get back in the game, that was until another great ball from Seb set Reece running towards goal and he finished well from a slight angle to crush any hopes that was building from the home side.

FT Walsall Wood Juniors City 1-4 Bustleholme Bullets U14’s

A good win and a fairly dominant performance from the lads. We do need to start converting more of the chances we create, against good sides we'll get punished, but pleased with another 3 points on the board for us.

Managers MOTM- Jayden- Protected the back 4 as usual and won the ball countless times to start off some of the good footballing moves we created.

Coaches MOTM- Owen- Battled well and won possession loads, getting more and more comfortable on the ball and his confidence is starting to come. Great game from Owen today.

Parents MOTM- Jayden- Again, a disciplined midfield display at the heart of the team. "Composed & bossed the midfield"
