What a difference in the weather from yesterday, one member was heard to say ‘I’m cold!!!!’. However it was ideal weather for bowling and we managed to get a few more competition games finished. Best wishes to all the members who are not able to come for various reasons, hope to see you all again soon

Had a really good afternoon of bowling despite the wind and dodging a couple of showers. It was lovely to see two members who have not been able to get to the Club for a while and we hope they will be able to visit us more often now.
We’re looking forward to our annual Afternoon Tea in a couple of weeks time when we will also celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of our Queen.

This afternoon we had our first internal competition in three years, it was our annual President’s team v Chairman’s team, as usual the President’s team won!! Congratulations to everyone who took part as it was mostly pouring with rain while we were bowling. It was also really good to see all the members who came to support us even if they didn’t bowl. It was just like old times with fun and laughter. Hope to see you all again next week.

Well, we’ve started bowling again. We managed last week but the heavens opened this Wednesday so we had to right this week off. Fingers crossed that we are able to bowl next week. We welcome everyone to the Club. Come and have a try at bowls on a Tuesday morning, from 10 a.m. till 12 noon, it’s £2.50 for visitors and for that you get a cup of tea and a biscuit as well!
Our members afternoon is Wednesday but you can come and have a bowl whenever the green is free if you want.
We are a friendly, welcoming club and we would love to see you

Lovely to see so many folks at our Whist Drive today and the fish and chip lunch was enjoyed by all. Our new Social Secretary is going a fabulous job. See you all at the End of Season lunch in November. We may not be bowling but we all enjoying out get togethers.

No bowling today as we went and said a sad ‘farewell’ to one of our long standing members. A life well lived, rest in peace Anne, you won’t be forgotten.
