West Bridgfordians Cricket Club West Bridgfordians CC are based at the heart of West Bridgford, Nottingham. The club has also achieved ECB Clubmark accreditation.

West Bridgfordians Cricket Club are based in the very heart of West Bridgford, Nottingham. Established in 1929 the club run 4 Saturday league XIs in the South Nottinghamshire Cricket League and 2 Sunday league XIs in the Newark Club Cricket Alliance. Our 1st and 2nd XI home games are played at our home ground on Stamford Road, West Bridgford and our 3rd and 4th XIs play at Adbolton Lane, Holme Pie

rrepont. We also run a large Junior section where we promote the development of cricket in the community and invite interested juniors to join our Friday evening practice sessions. During practice sessions juniors learn the skills of cricket in a safe environment and hopefully represent the Club in league and cup fixtures. The Club has over 25 ECB qualified coaches, who are trained and screened for their suitability to work with young people. ECB Clubmark is the ECB’s club accreditation scheme for cricket clubs with junior sections. Achieving ECB Clubmark accreditation is an acknowledgement that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in cricket. New Senior members are always welcome, just come along to winter or summer training, details of which are posted on this website.

This weekend’s games are bought to you by 200 Degrees Coffee Roasters 

The 1st XI will be looking to get their season back on track after successive defeats, but face a tough test with third place Kimberley ICC II the visitors to Stamford Road. 11.30am Start. Live on YouTube. 

It is another big clash for the 2nd XI as they travel to The Strand to take on 2nd placed Attenborough Cricket Club II. 12.00pm Start. 

After a narrow defeat to the league leaders last weekend the 3rd XI will be looking to get back into the promotion mix when 9th placed III visit Adbolton Lane. 1.00pm Start.

Successive defeats have seen the 4th XI drop to 5th place in the table. A trip to 8th placed II awaits on Saturday. 1.00pm Start. 

The 5th XI will be looking to continue their fine start to the season as they make the trip down the A52 to Croxton Kerrial CC to take on Bingham Cricket Club IV. 1.00pm Start.

X2 Cup action at Stamford Road tonight!🏏⚽️

First up, the 2s face West Bridgford Legion in the T20 Chris Trafford Cup. The game starts at 6pm and the bar opens at 6:45pm. But if you can’t support the team in person, tune into our YouTube live stream via the link in our bio.

After the final ball, the focus shifts to the big screen in the clubhouse for England’s World Cup opener against Croatia - and of course the bar will be staying open!

Shandy Shack Performance’s of the week

Sam Campbell was the pick of the bowlers as he helped the 5th XI bowl Keyworth IV out for just 39. Ian Huskinson starred with the bat with 50 as the 3rd XI fell to an agonising one wicket defeat against Cheers Cricket.

This weekend’s games are bought to you by 

The 1st XI face a tough trip to the PCG to take on NPL 2 leaders 11.30am Start. 

It is a 2nd v 3rd clash in SNCL division B at Stamford Road with the visitors. 12.00pm Start. Live on YouTube. Bar Open.

The 3rd XI have the chance to close the gap further on the top 2 as they welcome division F leaders, to Adbolton Lane. 1.00pm Start.

Our 4th & 5th XI’s are at Clifton this Saturday. On the front pitch the 4th XI take on 2nd placed as they look to leapfrog them into the promotion places. 1.00pm Start. On the back pitch the 5th XI take on IV looking to continue their good form. 1.00pm Start.

Sunday sees 2 games, the 6th XI in SNCL Development league action at Colston Bassett CC to play Keyworth. 1.00pm Start.

.shack Performance’s of the week

Another Saturday another 50 to make it 4 in a row in completed innings as the 2s raced to a 9 wicket victory at home to Eastwood Town. At the other end hit an unbeaten 52 in an unbeaten 89 run second wicket partnership.
In the 3s hit a second consecutive half century at Lambley Village as they posted 217. But it was who stole the show as he tore through the Lambley batting line up taking 7 wickets.
It was a good afternoon for the Anderton twins, C Anderton hit a maiden half century as he scored an impressive 89 for the 5s against Thrumpton. He shared a partnership of 136 with Toby Jackson (63) in a total of 231-3. Then brother J Anderton chipped in with 4 wickets to restrict the home side to xx-c in reply.
Sammy Holding took 4 wickets as the 4s fought back to restrict Gotham Village to 172-6.
On Sunday, F Gillespie (U12) took 4 wickets on open age debut for the 6th XI in their win against Coddington & Winthorpe.
