🚨 1ST XV VICE CAPTAIN ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
We’re delighted to announce that Jasper Allen has been appointed as West Bridgford RFC 1st XV Vice Captain for the 2026/27 season.
A committed clubman, fierce competitor and natural leader, Jasper’s passion for the shirt is evident every time he steps onto the pitch. Despite a frustrating season last year, his influence around the squad never wavered, and he now heads into the new season determined to lead from the front.
💬 Jasper on the season ahead:
“If I’m honest, last season was a frustrating one personally. Missing the majority of it through a shoulder injury and watching from the sidelines isn’t something any player enjoys. The positive is that the operation is now done, rehab is underway, and all focus is on doing everything possible to be fit and firing for the start of the new season.
While it was tough not being out there, it was great to see the squad continue to grow. We’ve got some exciting new recruits coming in, plenty of quality returning players, and the depth across the squad is looking stronger than ever.
That means one thing – there are going to be no guarantees when it comes to team selection. Competition for playing shirts is going to be fierce, and that’s exactly what you need if you want to be successful.
Pre-season is just around the corner, and everyone will be looking to put their hand up and earn their place. It’s going to be hard work, but there’s a real buzz around the club already.
As for the season ahead, the goal couldn’t be clearer: it’s time to put in the work. We’ve got the squad, the coaching team, and the belief to achieve it. Now it’s about putting in the work and delivering when it matters.
