We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Apprentice to join our fast growing ecommerce company in Wem that operates in various sectors including sports, medical, leisure and pet supplies.
Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship
Your profile: You will need to be a friendly and proactive person with a good work ethic. We will provide all training to help you.
Key responsibilities:
Picking/Packing customer orders
Maintaining a clean and organised work area/warehouse
Booking in deliveries from suppliers
Putting delivered stock away into assigned locations
Completing stock takes
Any other warehouse duties as required
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful applicant will complete the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship Standard. This apprenticeship is designed for warehouse operatives working in the goods in and out sector.
The successful applicant will be supported to become skilled and competent in core skills and knowledge.
Following enrolment, learners engage in a blended programme of training and support that will include attendance at group training sessions, self-directed learning, email and face-to-face support from their trainer/assessor as well as a programme of training devised by the employer.
Functional skills - This provides practical skills to help learners gain the most out of work, education and everyday life and is assessed by the completion of written and online tests.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to be offered a permanent position with further career progression.
Expected duration of apprenticeship is 15 months.
Monday - Friday
40 hours per week Between 8:00am - 5:00pm
(No weekends)
Pay in line with government apprenticeship rates.
Open to anyone age 16 and over.
Start Date: August 2023
