We are a theatre school for 3 - 18 year olds. Everyone is welcome - no previous experience necessary! Each week, every student learns to dance, sing and act whilst building important life skills such as confidence, team work, resilience and so much more. Aside from weekly classes, we also hold holiday workshops. In addition, we offer other opportunities such as theatre trips, shows, exams, theme weeks and more! We are also Ofsted registered, and accept childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare payments. Free trials are available for all new students too!

Learning to speak clearly, share ideas, perform in front of others and have the courage to give something a go can make a real difference at school and in everyday life.

Sometimes the biggest achievement isn’t the performance itself — it’s seeing a young person begin to believe in what they can do. 💙💛

At this year’s Theatretrain Annual Creative Conference, Theatretrain Welwyn-Hatfield received copies of The Performer’s Handbook, written by Theatretrain Artistic Director 𝐊𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭 and illustrated by the brilliant 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞.

Created especially for Theatretrain students aged 9 and over, the handbook is packed with advice, guidance and inspiration to help young performers develop their skills, build their confidence and get even more from their training.

Even better, these fantastic handbooks will be given to our Theatretrain Welwyn-Hatfield pupils completely free of charge.
