Welshpool Sharks swimmers were in shock tonight when the local Pice Community Support Officer Sally-Ann Neville appeared on poolside. For once the swimmers were quiet, anticipating why an officer had come to visit the Club. They did not have to wait long as PCSO called out Beth Stephens, Charlotte Banks and Harry Voice, these three swimmers were part of a squad from Sharks that attended a Swimming Gala in Hollywell.

The swimmers had been awarded speeding tickets, in swimming terms this means, swimmers that swim faster than the upper limit time for that particular event. On entering the Gala their entry times submitted were slower, but on the day they swam so fast, smashing their PB's, their training and hard work paid off, hence the much coveted Speeding Ticket.

Speeding Tickets
Charlotte Banks – 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle
Harry Voice – 50m Butterfly and 50m Breaststroke
Beth Stephens – 100m Freestyle

Well done swimmers, fantastic results.

Afternoon session of Daffodil meet done and dusted and Sharks continued in the same spirit that they had in the morning. Just 13 swims and 11 pb,s to add to the morning, so tally for day, 34 swims 31 pb,s a great 92%. More national times being achieved. The afternoon started with a great 37 sec pb for Cari in 800 free. Then Carys hitting another National time in 200 free. Most swimmers finishing with 100% pb,s. One impressive swim commented on by several other coaches was that of Young Ryan hitting a 10 sec pb in 200 fly. One happy coach, who is looking forward to a catch up with Holywell coach Terry in a short time.

THE COACH.
