We are SUPER DOOPER proud to announce that we have a UK CHAMPION in our club!

Richard G took part in the Archery Great Britain (AGB) National Championships on Saturday 1st August, to gain the title of National 50+ Longbow Champion for 2026!

We had a fabulous (if slightly windy) day at The Bishop's Palace & Gardens yesterday, Sunday 26th July, for our annual Maria Eden tournament - a competition that is completely unique to Wells City Archers and the Palace. A huge well done to everyone that took part, and MASSIVE thanks to Indigo Archery for supplying the bosses and running the Have A Go, to the Palace for hosting us, and to the merry band of helpers that came along to help set up and pack down. We can't wait for next year!

We will be at the The Bishop's Palace & Gardens this coming Sunday (26th July) for the annual Maria Eden Archery tournament, which is unique to us and the Palace. Our good friends from Indigo Archery will also be there, running a "Have a Go" range for a small fee. Come along and watch us compete against each other, find out more about the Maria Eden, and have a go at archery too!

When Archery GB released their British Sign Language resources for archery, the Young Archers' team at Wells City Archers saw an opportunity for a fun session.

We are VERY proud to announce that, for the second year in a row, The Somerset County Postal Competition has seen a clean sweep of all the leagues with Wells City Archers winning both the senior and junior Portsmouth and Frostbite competitions! This is only the the second time this has happened in the whole competition... and we did it the first time too! Bragging rights duly activated - WELL DONE US!!!

Sign up for a one-hour taster session – which introduces you to the basics of archery with a bit of scoring and a game or two. This is a great way to discover just how much you love archery.

Last week, our Young Archers turned the tables on the coaches and took charge! The coaching team became archers and the young archers became coaches! A really fun session that showed just how much the young archers have learned.
