What a lovely morning at the beautiful Bickley Farm. 🌿

A little yoga, a lot of laughter and a gorgeous bunch of women getting together to celebrate their bride-to-be. 🤍

I love these sisterhood sessions. There’s something really special about creating a little space to breathe, move and connect before the celebrations properly begin — and this morning had such a lovely energy.

Thank you ladies for inviting me to be part of your weekend, and to Bickley Farm for such a beautiful setting. 🌿✨

Here’s to the bride-to-be, good friends and plenty more memories to come! 🥂💍

One of my favourite things about living in the West Country is our proximity to nature and its abundance of foraging opportunities.
Every Autumn I notice Elderberries everywhere, hedgerows absolutely dripping with these little dark purple beauties.
And after years of spending way too much on Elderberry syrup, I finally got round to making some home brew, and it’s become one of my little autumn rituals.

Elderberries are rich in anthocyanin- antioxidant plant compounds responsible for their deep purple colour. There is some interesting research, although limited, suggesting that elderberries may help with the duration and severity of cold and flu like symptoms.
It’s not a miracle cure and definitely not a replacement to proper medical care, but at the very least a lovely traditional, local food that is abundant around us.

I love making things myself, knowing what is going into the food and nutrition I feed my family and saving £££ at the same time.

My very berry simple recipe:

🌿 500g ripe elderberries removed from the stems
🍋 1 Lemon
🫚 A generous piece of fresh ginger
🌿 1-2 Cinnamon sticks
💧 Water to cover
🍯 Honey to taste

Simmer everything for around 30-40 minutes.
Then get yours potato masher out and really smash all the delicious juices out those berries before straining and adding honey.
Bottle and Refrigerate
⚠️ Don’t eat raw! And don’t use the stems or leaves.

I love the simplicity of seasonal joy’s around us.

🌞 HELLO SEPTEMBER. WE’RE BACK.

There’s something about September I really love.

The slower pace of summer starts to shift. The diary fills up again. School starts, routines return and suddenly there’s a little more space to make time for yourself.

So we’re back in the studio — with all your favourites, Katie back on Monday evenings, a little Friday evolution… and a brilliant Saturday lined up too.

🚀 FRIDAY MORNINGS ARE NOW ROCKET BEATS

If you’ve been coming to our Friday Dynamic Vinyasa, this isn’t a completely new class. It’s the same strong, dynamic, music-led practice you know — just with a little more Rocket direction.

Expect movement that travels up, down and through the space, building heat, strength, rhythm and energy. A little faster, a little more playful, and very much driven by the music.

Basically… the Friday class you love, with the volume turned up. 🎶🚀

👗 AND THEN… THE CLOTHES SWAP!

SATURDAY 12:30–3pm

One of my favourite Pure Yoga community events is back — and this one is a goodie.

Bring along the clothes you’re no longer wearing, have a rummage through what everyone else has brought, find yourself some new treasures and give your wardrobe a little September refresh.

✨ PAY WHAT YOU WANT ✨

No complicated rules. No pressure. Just good clothes, good people and a lovely excuse to spend a Saturday afternoon together.

Anything left over will be donated, so it’s a win for your wardrobe, your wallet and the planet. 🌿

Come for the clothes. Stay for the chat. Leave with something fabulous. 😉

The school holidays are nearly over… and September is quietly calling us back into rhythm. 🍂

What a summer this Fire Horse has been!! 🔥🐎
Full of movement, adventure, big energy, beautiful moments, a little chaos and, let’s be honest, probably not quite enough routine!

There’s something I really love about September. It feels like a natural turning point — not a fresh start in the new year, new you kind of way, but a gentle return to what grounds us.

After the expansiveness of summer, we begin to gather in the harvest. 🍎
All those little riches we’ve collected along the way — time outside, sunshine on our skin, adventures, laughter, connection, rest, memories — we get to bring them with us.

And maybe that’s what coming back to routine is really about.

Not squeezing ourselves back into a busy schedule, but finding a rhythm that supports us.

A little more structure.
A little more space to breathe.
A little more time to notice where we actually are.

Whether you’re heading back to school, back to work, or simply finding your own September rhythm, I hope you carry some of that summer magic with you.

The holidays might be ending… but there’s still plenty of fire in the belly. 🔥

Here’s to September — and making something beautiful from everything this summer has given us. 🤍

There’s something about balance that yoga keeps teaching me — and it’s rarely about standing perfectly still on one leg. 🤍

For a long time, I thought balance was something you achieved. Something you found, held onto, and somehow managed to keep.

But life has taught me otherwise.

Balance isn’t about being the strongest, the most flexible, or having everything figured out. It’s about being present enough to notice where you are — and having the awareness to gently adjust when you start to move away from yourself.

I notice this on the mat all the time. Some days a pose feels effortless. Other days, the exact same shape feels completely unfamiliar. And I’ve learnt that forcing it rarely helps. The moment I soften, breathe, focus and actually listen to what my body is telling me, I usually find my balance again.

And I think life works in much the same way.

When we move too far in one direction, things can start to become excessive — too much doing, too much thinking, too much stimulation, too much of anything. And when we move too far the other way, we can find ourselves disconnected, under-stimulated, withdrawn or simply lacking the energy to engage.

Neither extreme is necessarily where we want to stay.

Balance isn’t something we ever have. It’s something we’re constantly moving towards or away from — in our bodies, our relationships, our work, our minds and our lives.

Maybe the goal isn’t to find perfect balance.

Maybe it’s simply to stay present enough to notice which way we’re moving — and to gently make the adjustment when we need to.

Because we can always come back to centre. ✨

There’s something about summer that gently reminds us that life doesn’t always need to be rushed.

Lately, I’ve been embracing a slower rhythm — allowing space to breathe, to be outside, to soak up the warmth and simply enjoy the season we’re in. ☀️

Yoga has followed that same rhythm. Over the summer I’ve had the pleasure of taking classes beyond the studio, holding yoga for festivals and private gatherings, getting our mats outside and breathing in the warmth of the season. There’s something rather magical about practising beneath an open sky, surrounded by summer air and good people.

From next week, the studio timetable will gently begin returning to its usual rhythm, with more of our regular classes settling back into place. But there’s no need to rush the transition. Summer is still here, and there’s plenty more to soak up.

So, for now, a little reminder to move slowly, breathe deeply, spend time outside and enjoy the simple magic of this season.

The mats will be here when you’re ready. 🤍
