🔴⚪ RUGBY IS BACK AT WELLINGBOROUGH! ⚪🔴

It’s been a long, hot summer without rugby… but tomorrow we’re back!

Our WRFC Colts kick off their new season at home, welcoming Rushden & Higham for a competitive friendly and their first run-out of the season.

The Colts have put in a huge amount of work over the summer, and with a new coaching squad behind them, tomorrow is the first chance to see that hard work out on the pitch.

It’s also a special day for Lewis Plant, who makes his debut as Colts Captain. 👏

But more than anything, it’s great to have rugby back at the club.

The clubhouse is open all day, the bar will be in full flow 🍻, and after a summer away we’d love to see players, parents, members, supporters and old friends back at WRFC.

Come along, catch up with everyone, enjoy a drink and get behind the Colts as they get the new season underway.

🏉Saints v Tigers Live at WRFC this Friday🏉

Not heading to the game? Come and watch it with us at Wellingborough Rugby Club!

The clubhouse will be open from 5pm on Friday, with Northampton Saints v Leicester Tigers live on the big screen from 7:45pm.

Everyone is welcome – you don’t need to be a member. Bring your mates, grab a drink, and enjoy what should be a cracking game in a great rugby atmosphere.

🔴⚪ WRFC COLTS – MEN OF THE MATCH 🔴⚪

Two standout performances from the Colts.

🏉 Louie – Man of the Match vs S&L

Louie delivered a relentless performance against S&L. Physical in contact, disciplined in defence, and composed when it mattered most. He set the tempo early and maintained it throughout — a fully deserved award.

🏉 Rory – Man of the Match vs Milton Keynes

Against Milton Keynes two weeks ago, Rory produced a performance built on work rate and consistency. Strong carries, solid defence, and key contributions at important moments helped drive the team forward.

A big thank you to Millennium Pizza for rewarding both lads with a free voucher — your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Proud to see performances that reflect the standards of wearing red and white.

Big rugby Saturday at Cut Throat Lane! 🏉

Tomorrow starts with a huge one for our WRFC Colts as they host S&L in the East Midlands Cup Plate Quarter Final — KO 1:00pm.

The rugby continues straight after with the 1st XV vs Northampton Old Scouts — KO 2:15pm.

And because it’s Valentine’s Day… ❤️
Bring your other half for a romantic afternoon of mud, collisions and sideline opinions — or tell them it’s “just a quick one” and stay for the lot 😄

We’ll have all the Six Nations games live on the big screens in the clubhouse too

A strong team performance saw us beat Milton Keynes 24–5.

WRFC Colts Cup Game – TODAY!

After last week’s fixture was called off due to the weather, our Colts are back in action today as they take on Oundle RFC in a Cup game!

Unfortunately today’s WRFC Colts cup fixture has been cancelled due to the frozen pitch conditions.

We know everyone will be disappointed, but player safety has to come first.

We’ll rearrange the cup fixture and will share the new date as soon as it’s confirmed. Thanks to both sets of players, coaches, officials and supporters for your understanding
