Round 1 completed with a red light of course🫣
-0.024 off of the tree, with a massive wiggle just over half track.
Baylee came off it as it got out of a shape & ran a 9.244.

Final Qualifier of the Weekend & Of course we break out…🥲
8.10 on a 8.11 dial in… but finally a green light on the tree, so some improvement for us 🤭🤣

What a crazy ride.. was a bit all over that place on that run but still managed to run a 8.18 on a 8.12 dial in…

But we’re slowly getting there…

We’re hoping for one more qualifier today which is scheduled for 18:20 tonight, so hopefully see you then🤞🏽

Q1 complete..
We decided to play it safe and dial in an 8.05 so we didn’t break out at any given chance..🙃
We then run a 8.14, securing us 7th in the ladder🥳

Super Pro is scheduled to go down for Q2 at 13:55, depending on weather & the track💜

We made it to National Finals 💜 Currently sat waiting for them to call us down for the first Qualifying round… I will up...

INTRODUCTION TO THE TEAM💜

•In the first photo, we have the Driver, Baylee Ashdown, on the left. As you would have seen from the latest post, Baylee started drag racing by hiring Paul Marston Dragster for every event, just in case she didn’t like it🫣🤣, but.. she fell in love with it & bought the dragster she is in now which she has been competing in Super Pro for the last 2 years, one day hoping to move up to bigger👀.
•Also, in the first photo on the right, is Baylee’s right hand girl, Shannon, They have been best friends since Baylee was 13, Shannon used to compete in Junior Dragster alongside Baylees brother Tyler. Shannon helps dial in the car, backs Baylee up after her burnout & puts her into stage.
• In the 2nd photo, is Alfie Baylee’s bestfriend, They have been friends since Baylee was 16. Alfie helps do all the final checks on the car, checks the tyres&straps Baylee in to make sure she’s safe.
•In the final 2 photos, is Baylee’s older brother Tyler, between rounds Tyler crews on their dads Undertaker Funny Car, but is always around just to give Baylee that push & agree on dial ins for the car. Also, sometimes makes it down for a run if he has time🫶🏽

5 years ago to this day, I sat in a dragster… What started as a “let’s just try this out” turned into one of my favourite things to do. Time really does fly by when your having fun🤯 I’m so grateful for even having the opportunity to do this, from driving round the pits in Paul Marstons Dragster to running on the track in my own💜 Any support is appreciated, even a follow or a like 🫶🏽

Post European final💜

We started of the weeekend with fitting a new fuel pump to the dragster as our old one wasn’t playing ball anymore, Tyler and a few others helped get this fitted which meant we missed the first qualifier. We managed to get it all back together and running for the next where we had to guess a dial in with the new pump. Baylee and Tyler went safe with a 8.23 to be safe as we had no clue, the car ran a 8.14( bonus the fuel pump works again) we broke out which was ok as it gave us a dial to work off for the weekend.

2nd qualifier

Baylee, Shan and Tyler discuss what will be best to dial in from any kinda date we has for the weather conditions. Again we go safe and dial in a 8.15 the car decides it wanted to run quicker again and goes
8.09. We can see the car is starting to play ball again and heading in the right direction. Tyler checked the car over and we wait for the 3rd qualifier.

3rd qualifier

The team have their chat again and ask Alfie too what we think is best and we decide let’s go safe and hope for the best at this point 😂 so we dialled in 8.04 and ran a 8.09 RESULT we are now qualify and only 0.05 off our dial. Baylee is happy with this and can relax again.

Last qualifier for the weekend we needed to climb the ladder and we tried our best. Dialled the car 8.08 and of course we only go and break out by 0.006 and run a 8.079 ( so close)😩

Saturday night rolls round and we are waiting to run the first round, the weather had changed and this is where we got together as a team and discussed what’s best to do. We wasn’t sure we were going out until we finally for the call around 8pm to go down

We roll down for the first round again mark Bailey we knew this would be tuff but we knew anything could happen and baylee knows exactly what to do…so we dial the car in 8.06 we wanted to make sure it wouldn’t beak out and give the race away. Baylee unfortunately pulled a -0.04 red which handed the win to mark. During her run the car for a bit lose and no longer wanted to go straight but the biggest well done to baylee on her driving job and keeping the car the right way up. She come back still happy and more experienced than when she rolled onto the line.

We will be back out faster and consistent next event 👀

Thank you to everyone that helps run the car and fund it. The biggest thank you goes to the main man himself steve (Baylee’s dad) for allowing all this to happen.
