The Audi Coupe is back from RNJ Motorsport with its brand-new cage and a few extra tweaks - thanks Rob for the fantastic work! Now it's time to tackle the never-ending to-do list, but hopefully we'll get everything done before the race season starts! 🤞🏼

Little update, considering we have been really lacking in them at the moment!! We have been super busy working in the cars a lot of progress has been made, the new beetle is away being caged @ RNJ Motorsport along with a few other upgrades. The Audi Coupé is still at home having some metal work completed, new wheels have arrived which means we can do a test fit and see if we have to do some arch work. The Coupé will be heading for caging in the next couple of weeks. While both cars are away it will be time to get the engines stripped and rebuilt.

Hopefully we can get a few more updates on the go and into the new year. Aiming for both cars to be ready for the first event in April next year 🤞🏼🤞🏼

New admirals hat, rear hangers and floor pans welded into Jackie’s new race Beetle. Body is going to be refitted with new heater channels and then prepped to head off to RNJ Motorsport for its cage with safety cell as this Beetles going to be a fast one!!

So as we are heading towards Bugjam weekend I thought it be best time to update about our last event at Summer Nationals!!

We had a smashing weekend and the weather was beautiful for it. We had 4 qualifying rounds which got us into the top 5 of the table coming in 4th this set us up for some good points. We headed into E1 against Steve, Jackie smashed E1 taking us into E2 for Sunday.

Unfortunately the rain ended up having Sunday called off. We had a great weekend and the car is getting quicker each event.

Firstly, welcome to the new D&S Racing page!!

Now on to the important stuff! Sportsman nationals was last weekend and unfortunately we had some wet weather but ultimately we had a good one. Jackie was out in her GT beetle for the first time at a race meet with the new cage which was beautiful built and fitted by RNJ Motorsport, the cage was tagged to 8.50 on Friday at Santa pod with the techs commenting on a quality job so thank you Rob you doing a smashing job.

We fitted a few new bits to the beetle including harness and tacho/shift light before we took the beetle scrutineering.

On to the racing and we qualified 6th out of the a 28 car field on the Saturday after two rounds of qualifying unfortunately missing out on Q3 due to the rain, however into Sunday eliminations and we broke out in the first round doing a P.B of 18.50 in the beetle. So after 13 years of owning Ginny the GT Beetle which was mostly a Sunday driver for Jackie, she decided balls to it and let’s go drag racing.

Hopefully with a few tweeks between now and summer nationals we can go faster again!!
