NCAS Winter Coaching Programme 2026/27

NCAS is launching a performance-focused winter coaching programme for senior archers of all bow disciplines and experience levels affiliated through Northamptonshire County Archery Society.

The programme is designed to improve technical consistency, competitive readiness and overall development throughout the winter season.

Archers will be supported by a range of coaches, from Level 1/Session Coaches and Level 2/Development Coaches through to Programme Coach (Performance), as well as Coach Candidates.
The programme also gives County Coaches the opportunity to collaborate, develop their coaching practice, learn from invited guests and gain valuable CPD points towards Coaching Licence renewal.

5 Stage Programme
• Technical Framework
• Bow Tuning & Kit Maintenance
• Mindset Development
• Physical Preparation
• Development & Organisational Readiness

Each session will include RAMP warm-ups, skills and drills, video analysis, mirror-based technique work, equipment support and short end-of-session masterclasses covering topics such as tuning, arrow care and bow maintenance.

Cost: £75 per person for all 5 sessions

Venue: Montsaye Academy, Rothwell

At Halloween!

LBAC Halloween Field Shoot 2026!

Enter if you dare… or at least if you can manage to hit a foam target instead of a tree trunk.

Long Buckby Archery Club invites you to dust off your cobwebs and stumble through our haunted woods for a Halloween field shoot on 31st October. Navigate a course crawling with witches, warlocks, and whatever else managed to crawl out of the Daventry undergrowth.

Grab your favourite setup, tighten up your grouping, leave your fears at the gate, and come see if your aim is as sharp as a vampire’s tooth.

Entry forms will be available on Tuesday the 8th at 7pm

Fantastic day of shooting 🎯 AoRs first time shooting the field course at Long Buckby. Huge thanks for LB for hosting & the much needed BBQ to finish.
With AoR coming a very creditable 3rd overall in this years inter club competition 🎯👊

Nikki and I have just done a count up of the takings of entry fees, food takings, generous donation from judge Mike and SumUp transactions minus the school fees, food costs, judges expenses and gifts. We managed to raise an amazing £805 for PASIC which we will donate to the JustGiving page. Well done everyone who took part on Sunday.
