We did it again 🔥 Back from the National Finals 2024 with more multiple pb's!

On Friday the Q1 started with little gremlins when the scavenge pump failed on the burnout and flooded my turbo with oil 😒 with only a few hours to find the issues, take out the turbo, completely strip, clean, and replace the pump. Then we came back for the Q2 ready... then the wire of the shifter snapped and I couldn't shift any gear 🤦‍♂️ huge thank to my great friend Steve Venables who helped and provided parts and support.

So the qualifiers on Friday were completely gone and along with the nasty weather, the qualifiers were cancelled, meaning we went straight to eliminations on Saturday standing at No8.

E1 time and I was up against the mighty, Ross Morrison, who smashed his pb's and No1 qualifyer. After the qualifying issues I had, this was do or die time! I knew with the meticulous tuning and game plan in place, I was heading for territory I had never been... The moment I found out I not only won, but absolutely smashed my pb, running at 6.82, felt absolutely incredible! I was ready for even more power and hungry for the 6.7s as we had lots of room left.

Next up the semi finals against THE GOAT, Steve Venables , unfortunately the wheather was so bad the event had to be called 👎

Despite only having one successful pass, I pulled off my best times yet and couldn't have asked for a better end to the year. It has been an incredible journey, with an incredible team by my side. The memories, experience, and knowledge I've gained is more than I could have ever imagined.

Thank you to all the racers, crews, and santa pod staff, who came and congratulated me in person after that achievement, it means more than you know.

To all my great friends around the world who absolutely smashed my phone with calls and messages...I really felt the love.

Jake Mechaell, no words can describe the gratitude I have... dedication, passion, coaching, friendship, expert tuning, and superior engines... oh and a massive cogratulations on taking the National championship 2024 🏆!

Huge congratulations to my team mates Brad Head and Hayden Mechaell for their great performances and life memories we made this year.

Massive thanks to my crewman, Markos Lemis, for his outstanding hard working crew duties all year. He did everything he could to provide me exactly what I wanted for my race programme this season. It hasn't always been easy with so many ups and downs and my strict way of working but look where we are 💪 we did it 🙌

To my great friend and new crew number, Andrew Christophi, who joined my team this year and helped with crew duties..I'm really looking forward working with you more next season building great moments with me and our JKE team.

Thanks to my great friend Rick Stubbins and his family for the excellent support, fun and memories this year.

Thanks to all the fellow racers in the class who helped us when we needed them, who helped turn the worst times into the best memories and to all those who gain pb's, we will see you all next year.

And last but by no means least, my family, you've always been behind me, my biggest supporters, you've believed in me from the start, you've endured long nights changing engines and my ultimate crew, none of this would be possible without you ❤️

Roll on 2025... this year was just the start ..

Job done as planned 😎

Words cannot describe the gratitude and thanks i have for the Master * my mentor, tuner, builder, brother and 1 of the straight up nicest leading guys in Europe's drag racing scene, the 1 and only Jake Mechaell

We started the year with a bike which had no tuning, all elements had been reset, unknown elements that weren't working, and a rider (myself) who'd never had a race licence! But i had a dream nonetheless to ride in the 6s.

Many doubted us that i can't do it ,but here we are... into the deep 6s with 6.92seconds @ 212mph within my 4 ever SSB events!!!🔥

If you dream one day to race in the SSB class and have what it takes to build one of these bikes but your afraid, don't know where to start, or someone told you it's too difficult or impossible to run in the 6s from scratch..JKE Race Works is the answer to you all. He has all the capabilities, knowledge, and experience to guide you and run 6s with ease.

Massive congratulations to my team mate Brad Head for his excellent riding performance all weekend gaining him a new PB 7.36, with a 5th gear that doesn't shift properly! I'm sure we will see more to come in the next event. It was my pleasure to share the start line while both gaining pb's... we should do this more often 😉

Huge congratulations to my team mate Jake for winning the Event and coming 2nd overall in the FIM-E Championship, despite only running 3/5 events, with his well known to all badassery riding and masterpiece tuning. I didn't expect any less!

Congratulations to all the racers and teams for their excellent performances and pb's.

Huge thanks to my little bro and crewman Markos Lemis for the hard working crew duties all weekend/year. My pb's has your name on it.

Thanks to my buddy Andrew Christophi for joining my team you've fitted in like you've always been there.

Thanks to Julia Sivén for covering all the key moments with her outstanding camera skills.

The entire JKE family for standing next to me like a rock, encouraging, supporting, and celebrating with me with my ups and downs.

Thanks to my good friend Rick Stubbins for his excellent company and advice as always.

Donát Dániel Lencsés and his entire family team for the great company and laughs all weekend 👌🏼

Thanks to the entire Santa Pod staff for putting on another outstanding event with an impeccable track.

And finally thanks to all my friends from all over the world, who broke my phone with all their messages of congratulations for days 😅

We'll be at the National Finals in 10 days to try a bit harder
and hopefully after that the JKE team invited and we are going abroad to Greece to race with our Greek friends on their strong Greek championship Finals in October.

Back home and safe from Hockenheim and what an event that was!!

That was my first European championship event and my 3rd event in SSB as a rider.

The race didn't go as we planned tho, I had gearbox issues early on Friday in Q1 and in Q2 the gearbox completely failed and i was out of the competition, as I had no spare engine with me (Never again!).

Then, a great friend of mine, Nikos Tzanidakis from Racetech by Tzanidakis, came to me and shockingly offered me his gearbox, from his only spare engine, when his bike was pushing 4.4s 1/8 all weekend with the highest risk to be without a spare engine himself!!

Straight away his entire crew, including his rider and great friend Savvas Tilsizoglou, started striping his spare engine whilst Jake Mechaell and my crew were stripping my engine to replace the gearbox. It was hard work all night until 6am but the bike was ready to race.

I'm deeply thankful to Nikos Tzanidakis Xristina-Mixalis Tzanidakis ,Savvas Tilsizoglou, Θωμάς Αρωνιάδας ,and the entire team of Racetech by Tzanidakis for the help, without you it wouldn't have happened. You guys are diamonds.

So we was ready and back in the game for Q3 on Saturday and ended the day by qualifying No12 out of the 25 fastest ssb bikes in the competition from all over Europe.

Sunday E1 we was fully loaded to face my good friend and legend Margot Schmidt but she was so strong and schooled me with her 1.16 60ft and better reaction time, my bike spinning didn't help either. Its always a pleasure sharing the track and being inspired by the hard work and passion of the riders to achieve the times and speeds they do.

Massive congratulations to Jake for winning every single round with his consistent outstanding riding and tunning performance, taking the win on the finals at Nitrolympx 2024🔥

Julia Sivén for coming all the way from Finland and covering all the team needs with her expert camera skills.

All the great Greek teams and riders who finally came to Germany and flooded the class with great bikes and performances. It was my pleasure to share the track with you all.

And finally my family who keeps supporting me all the way nonstop, without you it wouldn't have happened Jessica Croman 😍
