Morning everyone

With the temperature predicted to hit 36 degrees and only 5 responses to my previous email - I am going to cancel tonight's sessions.

Back to normal next week when the temperature returns to normal.

Hi Everyone

There is an amber weather warning in place for tomorrow, with the temperature expected to reach 35 degrees!

I'm not sure whether anyone would want to train in that heat, or if they did, enjoy the experience!

I am willing to run the Training and Open sessions, but only if we have sufficient numbers. Therefore I require 12 people to confirm their attendance by this evening.

There will be no Beginner / Intermediate coaching this Thursday (6th August). The Open Session (7.30pm - 9.30pm) will run as normal.

Westfield Summer League - Week 8

Hi Everyone,

Last week of Summer League on Tuesday, everyone welcome.
We are going to do something different and have a doubles competition. We will rank everyone who attends and split the players into two pots. Pairings will be drawn, one from each pot.

Summer League - Week 7

Hi everyone
Penultimate week of Summer League this evening - everyone is welcome. Last week there were 18 players in attendance.
In the Main draw, Jamie Chamberlain beat Ben Stoneman and in the Consolation, Scott Dixon beat Richard Mole.

Summer League - Week 6

Week 6 of Summer League tomorrow night - all welcome.
Last week saw 23 players battle it out for honours. In the Main knockout, Virgil Birch-Abban beat Aiden Maguire and in the Consolation, Andy Logan beat Gavin York.

Thursday 25th June Sessions - CANCELLED

Tomorrow is forecast to be hotter than today so the Club has taken the decision to cancel tomorrow's Coaching and Open Practice sessions. The table tennis hall has had three days of constant sun, so the metal roof will be retaining a lot of heat, which will make conditions unbearable.

Apologies for the inconvenience, but normal service will resume next Monday.

Summer League Week 4 - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!

I need your feedback on whether to proceed with Summer League tomorrow night.
First, there is an amber heat warning for tomorrow and the Met Office says it will be 32c at 7pm, only cooling to 29c at 9pm! There is no air-conditioning in the hall, only air circulation.
Secondly, England are playing Ghana at 9pm.
I am happy to run the league if 12 or more of you respond yes, so it's in your hands. If you don't respond, I will assume that your answer is no.
