Whether you have been smashing Bodyweight circuits or working out with resistance.⁣
Your winning and ahead of the pack.⁣

If you have been continuing your training or If you have just started during this lockdown period, well done. ⁣
It’s been tough working with limited weight or equipment or smashing out 1000s of burpees ⁣
But⁣
You have that head start 🙌🏼⁣

You have been keeping active, keeping those muscles working and making progress 💪🏼⁣

With the likelihood of gyms opening as early as 4th July, the last thing you want to be doing is walking in the gym and smashing the weights after being sat on your ass working from home and binge watching Benidorm on Netflix (🙋🏻‍♂️Me)⁣
Your just going to struggle massively and end up causing yourself injury. ⁣

That’s why now is the perfect time to get exercising, getting resistance through those joints, priming yourself ready for those gym doors opening.⁣

In this video I explain how to correctly set your self up to perform a squat.⁣
Some simple analogies to help get you in the best position to perform the squat.⁣

This is before you even think about stepping under a bar let alone load it up with weight.⁣

I hate squatting and you will very rarely see me do it due to previous back injury and surgery but doesn’t mean I shouldn’t teach it.⁣

Having a goal target is great, but let it be a milestone, not the end goal.⁣

I have had clients that have wanted to loose 10kg but felt absolutely fantastic with a 4kg drop.⁣

Flashback Friday⁣

This isn’t your everyday flashback, it comes with a message. ⁣
A message about being this conditioned.⁣

This was 2 days before my photo shoot and I was a miserable f*ck!!⁣

I almost wrecked my kitchen because a knife wouldn’t stay in the draining tray. Honestly I lost my s**t. Over nothing.⁣

If your not training or eating you just want to sleep.⁣

Social life you can wave bye to, if you do go out your on water and prepped meals. ⁣

It is such a selfish sport ⁣

BUT and it out ways any negative.⁣

We do it because we WANT that end result and we love the process. Process of seeing a goal and working you balls off day by day, meal by meal, session by session.⁣

And that goes for anyone with a goal not just comp prep, it’s going to get s**t at some point but stick it out, 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 and you will come out 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬. ⁣

Look back over the last 6 months and ask yourself if you could of done more to help towards your goals.⁣

And I bet your thinking ⁣
“Yeah probably could of done more.” ⁣
“Probably shouldn’t of had 3 takeaways a week.”⁣

Get over it, it’s gone and forgotten now, you can’t change it. Lesson learnt.⁣

Look forward 6 months from now and where you want to be and understand that you can achieve that, if you start TODAY.⁣
Not when lockdown is over or when your back to work.⁣

End of week 8 in Lockdown⁣

Reflecting back to yesterday when I had hair, I am now bald 👨🏼‍🦲 ⁣

Life is still far from normal.⁣

There is still time to set new routines and habits.⁣

One habit and routine I made sure I have stuck too is make sure I train at least 3 times a week.⁣
This not only makes me feel good which means better mental health but keeps me in good stead for when we hopefully make a return to the iron paradise 💪🏼⁣

Continuing with even the basics of health and fitness or resistance training will keep things in order.⁣

Thinking you will just simply return back to the gym, classes, healthy eating when lockdown finishes is a quick way to set yourself up for a fail.⁣
