A little late but an update
Day 2 started with qualifying.
From the previous days antics decided the wheelie bars needed to be taken out of the equation and possibly a little weight in the front to hopefully not make it lift quite so hard !!
So i evened up the wheelie bars and raised them a little and added weight to front axle and front crossmember,
Q1 run rolled through burn out and up to the line to see what we got on letting go of the button it came up as normal and off we went, felt better than last run but were still goin left, had to stay in it to try and get a number on the board went 10.73@130mph! But more tweaks are needed.
On returning to the pits we closely studied the footage to see that its still pushing hard on the wheelie bars, so now a much bigger adjustment was needed, now it doesnโt take a genius to work out that this could result in a much larger wheelie, so i also put more weight on the front to try and stop that.
Now lets see what happens
Q2 run approaching and i decided that because of the potential huuuuge wheelstand iโll footbrake this one so, done the usual and rolled up to the line, floored it and up she come could see sky and birds flying by!! grabbed 2nd ummm still high so backed off and down it come with a little bounce, when i saw track again we were straight RESULT but back on it ended on a 10.33@130mph.
So back at the pits we reviewed the footage to see a nice straight run albeit a little high on the wheelie, so wanted to take some bite out of it with a ladder bar adjustment, so out come half the tool box, to blast it apart and raise it up a hole, we had time.
Got it all done in time but rain stopped play for the day ๐ข
eliminations tomorrow with a bit of an unknown ๐ฌ
