As many know, our journey has come to an end as a club! We have folded due to other opportunities opening up. We want to thank every single player that represented the club and all the supporters that helped us along the way. ❤️

Fear not though, as you may have seen most of squad have moved to the newly formed Ock n Dough Fc and we fully expect them to shine in the Nene Sunday League Premier division as they have aspirations to win the league with ease. We wish them all the best🤝

On Sunday we were away against burton band club, with a very strong squad we had a very good warm up and it showed off in the game, first half both teams battled very well. We soon got control in the game, keeping the ball very well, making burton get out of their shape to try get the ball. We took the lead with a nice bit of play through Liam in the middle placing Ryan who made the run from the RW, lobbing the ball over the keeper and tapping in the ball, as burton defence were asking for a flag from their lino which never came. Burton had 1 chance and this would be their only chance of the game from a corner which they should have done better with.
Second half we made a few changes and we started to dominate, burton struggled to get out their half for majority of the half which we would recycle the ball and keep attacking at them. Trent got the 2nd Uche got the 3rd and Sol with a well placed finish late into the game signed off a dominate performance. 4 goals and a clean sheet with plenty of minutes for the squad, we knew burton would battle well, and we matched it and when we won the ball we managed to play some good football which won us the game. We had many good performances but 3 stand outs Keegan in the first half was fantastic at LB and kept solid in the second half and Liam who worked tirelessly for the team and then contributed when we had the ball with an assist. And newly signed Dom who fit in straight away he came in at CB was dominate in his aerial duels and burton couldn’t get the ball of him seeing off a great debut for him. Nene Sunday League

AFC 2 Sargents 2
45 seconds in we found ourselves 1-0 up through Stef, Dlaw with some magic placed Stef through and he slotted the ball away , we start Sharp, winning first and second balls and pressing high. 5 minutes in Stef was played in again and taken out in the box. PEN. Stef steps up and scores. 10 minutes to go Sargents started finding more opportunities, TWoodley making 2 unreal saves in this time. Unfortunately with a minute or so left of the half Sargent scored from a corner, we cleared the first and second ball, but couldn’t clear it a couple of rebounds in favour of them, and their CB lashed a well taken finish. 2-1.
Second half was fairly even, Sargents had a couple of chances but Trent denying them some good defending by us. Sargents scored to make it 2-2 with a cross/shot from their right side which took a deflection onto the post, and got the rebound ,Even though the momentum was in Sargents favour, we had the better chances to win the game, Stef had a header hit the inside of the post and falling to the keepers hands, in the 88th minute a HUGE controversy happened when Vik brilliantly placed a low shot into the bottom right corner which hit the tires (to move the goals) which is a good foot inside the goal, the ref did not blow for a goal so the game would be decided on pens, Sargents scored their first 3 and we missed our first 2. 2-0 up, with some very good chances to win the game, but goals win games, and we didn’t kill the game when we were ontop. Full credit to Sargents who grinded and fully deserved to get back in the game,we wish them good luck in the next round and look forward to the league fixture. That being said, lots of positives to take from today, a HUGE performance from TWoodley, who had to go in goal today and was truly immense. The MOTM was Paddy, who covered every blade of grass and is consistently performing at this level every week.Nene Sunday League

The game started well for Hunsbury, they were on the front foot from kick off, an early save from dev kept them out, but really this would be 1 of 2 chances they had all half. We grew into the game within around 15 minutes, composed on the ball in defence playing the ball into the middle but we struggled to find the end product in the final 3rd. Our first Goal came from a free kick midway in the half, around 30 yards near the left touch line, Paddy whipped a dangerous ball into the box met by Ry with a good finish back post on the volley .We felt we were the better team limiting Hawks but they equalised not long after, from a corner, with poor clearance their player found space on the edge of the box resulting in a well placed finished. With them scoring and us walking back to kick off, we lost Jaz to a sinbin. With being a man down we actually played better, hard work better passing and looking after the ball. Again we won a free kick from just inside the hawks half and Paddy again whipped a wicked ball in, which found Ry again who finished well again with a really good header in to the top corner. We finished the half 2-1.
Second half was no where near our best, Hawks had a player sent off and we didn’t capitalise to it, we didn’t use the extra man which somehow made us see some great defending and great keeping even with a man more from our team. With a couple of good moments from Sol denied with a great save from their keeper, and a questionable offside call against T Woodley, we were no where near our standards in the final third. Hey ho, a victory against a well organised hawks team who are up there in the table, away from home we would take any day especially when we weren’t up to our best. This Sunday we make the trip to Abington park to face Hunsbury hawks who join us from the championship last year, we had a very close game with them last year so we expect a tough game. We’ve started to find our form with back to back wins so Sunday is a must win again. On Sunday we was back at Ogs against Grendon winning 4-1, first 5 minutes we started off sloppy but found our selves in front with some good foot work and a great curling finish from our number 9 T.Woodley , we then grew into the game and stef won a penalty after some good work from him , it seems as if penalties for and against AFC are a curse for Stef,he kept going and got him self on the score sheet after 35 minutes , three minutes later T.Woodley with another great finish , going in at half time 3-0 up , second half we let off and found it difficult with the wind and the way we wanted to play , we found our self conceding a sloppy goal , however with some good work from Sol and a good through ball he found Liam who squared it to Nialls who came up with another difficult but good finish into the top corner , ending the game 4-1 winners which was deserved , much more to come from the boys and we are looking to push on from 2 wins on the bounce , we wish Grendon luck for the rest of the seasonNene Sunday League

On Sunday we suffered another poor defeat, losing 4-3 to Longboat fc. From the get go, we were under the cosh, poor decision making, poor defending not working hard enough, just a extremely poor opening 15 minutes, we were lucky not to be 2/3 nil down in this time, dev making 1v1 saves D Law making goal line clearances just to keep us in the game, Del making last ditch tackles. We finally had good moments of play midway through the half when we got the ball down with some really nice football but we didn’t see it enough. With some nice football in the middle Stef was set through on the RW he kept the ball in down near the corner flag and brilliantly set up Trent with a typical Woodley finish. With playing poorly and getting this goal we thought this would inject some energy and passion. Again Longboat were the team on the front foot, it didn’t take them long to get the equaliser they deserved.
Second half started, and again we struggled to match longboat, we lost majority 1st and 2nd balls, and mistakes were starting to get punished, suddenly a mad 10 minutes we were 4-1 down. With some changes we scored 2 very good goals from Sol on the edge of the box with a great finish, and Stef again down the right wing got played in and hit a really good low shot across the keeper into the far corner. We could have stole a point at the end with a mistake from their defender giving us a 1v1 but it wasn’t to be. Truthfully 4-3 is a very lucky score line, longboat hit the bar twice and hit the post twice as well. We were no where near at the races, longboat were well organised who worked so hard for eachother something we should look at, as a team we need to have a look at ourselves as we have a very big talented squad, which we need to start performing as.
To end this disappointment, all 3 of our goals were brilliant well taken, and shows what we can do! Del had a solid shift at RB and MOTM was Dev who made the score line less embarrassing, when it could have been a cricket score.Nene Sunday League

This Sunday we head over to Northampton Dallington park to face Longboat FC. From hearing reports of their last fixture we are expecting a physical battle, that being said we are looking to make amends of last weeks huge disappointment. We have a couple of new faces added to the squad so we are looking to get our first W of the league season. A poor start to the league season for us, 4-2 loss to teq at home today, first half started in the worst way with a defensive error gifting them a very early lead, after this we settled and started creating, we found a lot of joy down our right side, Jarad with 3 brilliant runs whipping the ball into the danger area but unfortunately nobody there to put the ball into the next. A corner from Jaz found Danny who took his header really well 1-1. This was what we wanted, lots of hard work, pressuring the teq defence, again a few chances but nothing clear cut. Stef picked the ball up from around 25 yards and hit a scuffed shot and somehow went straight through their keepers legs 💩 2-1 afc. We lost paddy before the end of the half, with quite a bad facial injury, wishing him a swift recovery. Half time we were the team on top unfortunately this would be the downfall.
Second half we really struggled, stopped getting the ball on the floor and the game became a physical battle which we couldn’t match, throughout the hard work of everybody we tired, legs started to show and their quality showed. We missed a huge chance with being 2-1 up which their keeper made an unbelievable save, shortly after we lost Trey to the sinbin, double standards 👀. Teq made it count with making it 2-2 ,3-2 not long after and finished the game 4-2 with some good finishes. A few poor mistakes today Cost us heavily, that being said Teq in the second half came out and do what they do, and that’s get results, full credit to them, probably a fair result for them to take the 3 points, we wish them and their boys good luck in the season!
