Soon be here, Team is looking forward to the final round of the Nostalgia Cannonball. Coming off the runners up at the last event, we want to build on this so some small changes have been made to see if we can put a new PB on the car and not hurt the consistency. Not going to be easy with the line up of cars entered. Come say hello to all the Teams and pick up your merchandise. Let’s see who’s going to take the winner’s Trophy home.

With me in the Driving seat and taking a big step away from Crew Chief duties. We are pleased to announce Ashley Phipps is now taking up the reins as Crew Chief. This is something that needed to happen to keep the momentum moving forward. I will continue to assist Ash with turning for a short while. All the Team are very happy with this and wish you all the best. Hot Rod Drags next, fingers crossed for more of the same or a bit more.

[S03E126 - Incredible Side-by-Side Drag Race! 👀]

Here we have Robin Read and Mark Luton putting on one hell of a show during Q2 at the MOPARS, in the form of an incredibly close drag race indeed!

Check the header flames coming Robin’s pipes both at idle and on the run! 😍 something I didn’t notice until I played the video back!

Both teams showing just what they can do with a 6.865/193.05mph for Robin in the left lane and a 6.885/198.88mph for Mark in the right lane.

It is absolutely no wonder that these two went up against one another in the final! The winner being Robin Read. 🏆

What an incredible drag race and a proper showcase and example of just what the Nostalgia Cannonball can do.

[S03E122 - MARK LUTON BREAKS 200MPH]

On the first run of the weekend at the 32nd Annual MOPAR Euro Nationals in Qualifying Session 1 of the Nostalgia Cannonball, Mark Luton broke the 200mph barrier for the first time in his short time driving Roy Wilding’s Chariots of Fire Nostalgia Slingshot 🏁

Mark clocked 202.38mph and coupled that PB speed with a PB E.T. as well with a stellar 6.855-second elapsed time!

Well done to all involved - I know this meant a lot to Roy, as well as the whole team of course! 🏁

When you consider that Mark has a number of runs somewhere in the mid-twenties in this slingshot, this is all the more impressive!

I believe the PB for the slingshot with Roy at the wheel is a 6.84!

Nostalgia Cannonball Dragstalgia 2026 4th run against Venom Funny Car for 5th and 6th place. Tony lights the tyres at the hit and runs me down at the top end… he just wouldn’t let me have it… great race, well done to all Teams for a great weekend…. See you all at the Mopars
