It's time to go your own way 💛💙
After 5 seasons with the club, Josh Sid has made the difficult decision to move on from Charlemont Star FC.
Drewy joined us in a transitional period as Tom Taylor's assistant back in 2021 and has played a huge part in shaping the togetherness and identity of the team. After winning the Challenge Plate in the 24/25 season Josh took over as manager, and despite missing out on the league and cup, created club history as we went on our longest-ever winning streak, league unbeaten run and highest points tally in the WMCFL.
Whether he was giving the officials an earful or being a personal friend to many of the lads, Josh has been an integral part of the journey of our club in the post-pandemic era and will be greatly missed on the touchline. He will now be coaching at Step 7 on Saturday afternoons and we know he'll bring just as much insight and humour to the West Midlands Regional League with his new club as he did on Saturday mornings with The Star.
Everyone at the club wishes Drewy the absolute best and hope he brings plenty of success. Now it's time to go your own way!
