☀️ Monday 22nd June 2026 ☀️

The start of a brand-new week and what looks set to be an absolute scorcher 🔥. Forecast temperatures across the West Country are expected to be hotter than parts of the Caribbean this week 🌴😎 — not something we get to say very often!

Unlike some of the questionable hydration breaks we've been seeing at the World Cup ⚽🥤, golfers this week will definitely be making good use of theirs out on the course!

The grass is still growing at quite a rate following recent warmth and moisture, and with temperatures set to soar, areas such as tees and fairways may well need an extra cut during the week to keep presentation at the high standards expected here at Wedmore ⛳️.

The greenkeeping team are out early this morning:
✅ Mowing greens
✅ Raking bunkers
✅ Mowing fairways
✅ Mowing tees
✅ Mowing aprons & collars
✅ Mowing semi-rough and approaches

All helping to deliver those sharp stripes and clean surfaces that have become synonymous with the Isle of Wedmore. 💚⛳️

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome ladies from across Somerset and beyond for our Senior Ladies Open at Isle of Wedmore Golf Club. ☺️ A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success. Congratulations to all of our prize winners for some fantastic performances.⛳

One of the highlights was our Nearest the Pin in 2 competition on the 16th hole, pictured here. This challenging par 3, with water guarding the green, always provides plenty of excitement!
Visitors also enjoyed browsing our fantastic sale rail, with some great golfing bargains available from as little as £10.

We now look ahead to Open Week, taking place from 13th-18th July. With a variety of formats including Shambles, Betterball, Bowmaker and Individual Stableford, there's something for everyone.😃
