Happy New Year all! With the temperatures out there, I doubt many of you are thinking about Windsurfing currently. But the boys wanted me to just comment on the new 6mm OShea hooded Wetsuit I got recently. I was critical of any benefits as usual, but it’s proved me completely wrong. The 5 mm is incredibly warm for any winter days, but the 6 mm really does take it to another level if you want to feel warm when the temperature is well below 6°. On the weekend it was snowing and I was thinking twice about going out in 4 degrees. Incredibly I was actually overheating at times and needing to fall off even with snow falls coming through . I was even happy and warm just to sit on the beach chatting after sailing (which is not like me!)). What’s surprising is how comfortable and easy it is to get on and off, it feels more like a 4/3 or thinner suit because of O’Shea’s standard practice of only using the best available neoprene in all their suits.
In short for all winter suit, love my O’Shea 5mm, so soft and warm,
But when it really gets cold or you will be on beaches more than just for your standard hour and a bit, the 6mm is a have to have! (note that I don’t receive any thing from you getting a suit, just wanted to share what I found!)
