🎾☀️ Following on from our previous summer camp announcement, we’re back with another reminder that Wedmore Tennis Club’s Summer Camps are just around the corner! ☀️🎾

If you’re still looking for a fun and active way to keep the kids entertained this summer, there’s still time to book your place.

Our camps are open to boys and girls aged 3–12, with all abilities welcome — whether they’re completely new to tennis or keen to develop their skills further! 🎾

Here’s what’s in store:

🎾 Expert coaching from LTA-qualified coaches
😊 Fun games and match play
👥 Team challenges and making new friends
💪 Building confidence, fitness and tennis skills

📅 Camp dates:

• 27th – 31st July
• 3rd – 7th August

👶 Tots (3–5 years)
⏰ 9:00am – 9:45am

🎾 Juniors (6–12 years)
⏰ 10:00am – 3:00pm

🎾 Yesterday, we rounded off another Summer League season with our end-of-season party and plenty to celebrate after a memorable year for Wedmore Tennis Club.

With all but one result now confirmed, there has been plenty to celebrate across the club.

👏 A fantastic season for our men’s teams:

🏆 A Team – 1st in Division 1 and crowned NSTL Champions
⬆️ B Team – 1st in Division 5 – promoted
⬆️ C Team – 1st in Division 7 – promoted
🎾 D Team – 4th in Division 8

The ladies battled hard throughout the season despite several injuries affecting the teams.

🎾 A Team – currently 2nd in Division 2 (awaiting one final result)
🎾 B Team – 6th in Division 2 – relegated
🎾 C Team – 5th in Division 4 – relegated
🎾 D Team – 6th in Division 6 – relegated

A huge thank you goes to our captains, Elaine (pictured with her well-deserved gifts 🌸) and Joe, who have done a fantastic job pulling teams together every week, no matter the situation.

We would also like to thank every member who represented Wedmore Tennis Club during this year’s Summer League season.

Looking for a fun, active and exciting way for your child to spend the summer holidays?

A huge congratulations to our Men’s A Team, who have been crowned North Somerset Tennis League Division 1 Champions! 👏

Our teams have enjoyed a fantastic campaign so far:

Men’s Teams
🏆 A Team – North Somerset Tennis League Division 1 Champions
🥇 B Team – Currently 1st in Division 5
🎉 C Team – Unbeaten this season and already promoted from Division 7!
🥉 D Team – Currently 3rd in Division 8

Ladies’ Teams
🥇 Ladies A Team – Currently 1st in Division 2
🎾 Ladies B Team – Currently 6th in Division 2

☀️🎾 A great Saturday in the sun at Wedmore Village Tennis Club ☀️🎾

Yesterday we hosted two fantastic events on court.

First up, the Somerset Men’s Trials brought some top-level match play to Wedmore, with members enjoying some brilliant tennis (unfortunately we don’t have photos from this part, but we do have plenty from later in the day 📸).

Next was our “Winner Takes All” tournament — 7 men and 7 women battling it out in fast 10-minute matches, rotating partners each round and competing for the most wins 🏆🔥

A huge thank you to Sarah and Kimberley for organising such a great day!

Our first Padel Tournament, held last Friday, was a fantastic success!

With lots of spectators creating a great atmosphere, 8 pairs competed for the top prize money in an exciting evening of padel. Over 3 hours, a total of 10 matches were played, with some brilliant rallies and competitive games throughout.

A huge congratulations to our winners, Mike & Joe 🏆
