5 REASONS YOUR NOT PROGRESSING IN THE GYM‼️‼️
1. Lack Of Consistency
Making sure that you have a training program that works for you every week. Also, being consistent with your diet, consuming the correct amount of calories weekly to progress towards your goals.
2. No Progressive Overload
Increasing the weight or amount of reps every week, increasing the amount of stress/demand on the muscles. By applying progressive overload every week you are providing the body with enough of a stimulus to create a muscular adaptation.
3. Missing Productive Movements
Make sure that you haven't missed out any important movements within your program such as Deadlifts, Squats... These are great for building strength and increasing muscle. They also engage/work multiple muscle groups at once.
4. Your Recovery Is Wrong
Making sure that you allow your muscles to rest every week, introducing rest days into your training program. Recovering successful helps prevent muscle fatigue and reduces the risk of injury.
5. Your Diet
Making sure that your diet reflects your training goals. e.g. if your trying to lose weight, you will want to be in a calorie deficit. If you are in a calorie deficit 5/7 days of the week, having a few 'beers & a takeaway' might push you back into maintenance calories.
