Watford Get Active

Watford Get Active Get Active is a new project to get more people in the Central Ward of Watford active! There are a whole host of activities to get involved in.

There are a whole host of activities to get involved with from badminton to skateboarding. We have some reduced rate gym memberships and even some free gym membership offers available for residents. If your looking to get back into exercise or just try something new we will have lots of things for you to get involved in. Whether it’s getting involved as a family, coming along with your friends or

popping down on your own there will be something for you. Watford Borough Council have received funding from Sport England for a three year project to get the Central Ward of Watford active. The funding has enabled the council to develop these activities in consultation with local people.

🏠 Drop-In Housing Surgery – Tomorrow! 🏠

Residents can join us tomorrow, Tuesday 31st March, from 10:00am – 2:00pm at Cussans House, Healthy Hub (The Conservatory) to speak with Housing Officers about any enquiries, with Healthy Hub support on hand for health and wellbeing guidance 💬

Support on the day includes NHS Health Checks, stop smoking advice, household support vouchers, mental health guidance, and more 💚

🎉 New free multi‑sport sessions for young people!

Watford Borough Council, together with Apex Multi‑Sport and Thrive Youth, is launching 'Active 2 Gether', a brand‑new programme of free, drop‑in multi‑sport and creative sessions for young people.

The first session kicks off on 18 April 2026, 2pm–4pm at King George V – Holywell Multi Games Area.

Come along and get involved in:

⚽ Football
🎾 Tennis
🏀 Basketball
🏐 Netball
…and loads more outdoor sports led by a qualified coach!

Plus, Thrive Youth will be running indoor activities including:
🎨 Arts and crafts
🎲 Fun games and creative sessions

These activities are completely free, open to everyone, and a great way for young people to get active, try something new and meet others in the community.

Our Housing team will be partnering up with the Watford Healthy Hub for another drop‑in surgery, and everyone is welcome!
