Busy week of Walking Football...

The regular sessions for Men 40-60's, Women's and Older Adults, PLUS the end of term Easter Tournament, with the 'Chicks' running (or walking!!) out winners! 👏👏👏

The men moan an awful lot,
The women, however, simply do not!
When Dave's looking only ever go slow,
When he's not then - go go go!!!

⚽⚽⚽

We don't run - we glide,
Saving knees and pride.
Perfect passes, sneaky goals,
Outsmarting legs half our age old.

No slide tackles, no mad chase,
Just side-eye, skill and perfect pace.
They laugh...until we win the match,
Then limp home sore - while we still chat.

Come shine or rain,
These guys come and feel the cold-pain!
Never missing a game,
As there's so much to gain!
From social stuff, mild competitiveness to lovely banter,
It never matters if one team wins at a canter!
Monday evenings and Thursday mornings - it's a cracking thing to do,
Come and try the sessions - they might just be the perfect thing for you!

⚽️ A New Walking Football Group for Older Adults for the Bushey Community ⚽️

We’re starting a new Walking Football session in Bushey, created to bring local older adults together in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

📍 Bushey Grove Leisure Centre
🗓 Thursdays at 10:30am

It’s ideal if you’d like to:

• Stay active
• Be part of something local
• Meet new people
• Enjoy a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with camaraderie

There’s a mild competitiveness, however, everything is played at your own pace. For those who’d like to stay on, there’s often a cuppa afterwards! ☕️

This is a brand-new session, launched because similar groups have already had a really positive impact in the local community.

What a smashing end to the term with our end of term and 13th Tournament.

28 players.
4 teams, mixed across Older Adults, Women and Men's 40-60's.
Player of the Year Awards across the groups.
A few festive pints topped off a perfect evening.

Fantastic evening all round and what an absolute pleasure to run these sessions with such lovely people!

The Reindeers came out on top last night, making it 3-2 in the last couple of minutes!
