Proud Hornets Proud Hornets is the award-winning Watford FC LGBT Supporters Group. Membership is open to all.

We aim to be a friendly, welcoming and inclusive Watford FC Fan Group from the LGBT+ community for everyone. We want to help make Vicarage Road Stadium and Football in general, an inclusive place where everyone feels safe to be themselves.

️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month, Watford! We’re proud to mark the start of Pride Month today by raising the Pride flag at Watford Council. The flag was raised by Peter Taylor - Mayor of Watford, joined by representatives from Proud Watford, Proud Hornets, Herts Pride, Watford & Three Rivers Trust and members of our community.

This moment celebrates love, inclusion and equality, and reflects our ongoing commitment to making Watford a place where everyone feels safe, valued and able to be themselves.

There are also some fantastic events taking place this June:

🎨 ‘Place Without Prejudice’ Event
📅 Friday 5 June 2026 | 11am–3pm
📍 Charter Place, Harlequin Watford

Hosted with Proud Watford and Proud Hornets, the Museum of Watford - The MoW team will lead a creative workshop where you can explore objects reflecting Watford’s LGBTQ+ history and create artwork to contribute to a collective community display. You can also enter a prize draw (with prizes from Watford FC and Proud Watford) and discover inspiring visions for a more inclusive Watford.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome! The Museum on Tour programme has been made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery Players.

World AIDS Day is a global movement to unite people in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Since 1988, communities have stood together on World AIDS Day to show strength and solidarity against HIV stigma and to remember lives lost.

Together with our friends at Herts Pride, Proud Hornets and Hertfordshire LGBTQ Health & Wellbeing we are holding a fundraising evening for the National AIDS Trust, to help to totally END new HIV cases.

Please join us to Remember, Reflect and Reach Out.

Tickets £10 to join the entertainment and reflection on the night, all participants are volunteers and funds will go to the National Aids Trust
