Meet our principal’s🔥
💃 Sophie Farrall-Daniel
Principal, Owner and Founder
Sophie was trained at the Italia Conti Academy where she completed a Diploma in Performing Arts. Unfortunately she suddenly required operations on both knees which led her to make a tough choice and step away from stage. She then went on to receive her teacher’s qualification ‘Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training’, being asked to lecture and become a tutor for West Herts College on the ‘Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts’ course.
Sophie developed a passion for teaching and providing students with the best and most current training possible. Through current knowledge, research and networking she has developed many contacts throughout the industry enabling her to provide the most up to date and progressive training. Sophie also puts together outstanding opportunities for her pupils, which include organising workshops and intensives with some of the best artists in the industry.
💃 Jess Higham
Vice Principal
Jess discovered her love for dance at a young age, and was taught by Sophie throughout her teenage years. Her passion for teaching grew as she assisted Sophie in classes. Jess went on to further her training at London Studio Centre, where she gained a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance, specialising in Jazz.
After graduating in 2023, Jess returned to Come One Dance Academy as a teacher, eager to share her knowledge and love of performance. She has been working towards her ARBTA teaching certification, alongside attending workshops with Rosina Andrews. Becoming affiliated with the Rosina Andrews method has brought a new approach to her teaching style and classes.
Jess is always seeking new ways to expand her own training, ensuring she can offer her students the best experience possible. She is incredibly excited about her future in teaching and the impact she can have on the students at CODA.
