Member Communication Regarding The Phoenix Darts Club

Portsmouth Darts LTD, who run The Phoenix Dart Club, wish to provide an update on the lease renewal for The Phoenix Darts Club, 1B-2A The Clockhouse, Waterlooville.

Please direct any enquiries to [email protected] or speak to Frankie, Craig or Laura directly.

We have been unable to agree favourable terms for the lease renewal with the landlord/management company, therefore Portsmouth Darts LTD will cease to lease the club with effect 20th November 2026.

This means, as it stands, unless someone else wishes to take on the lease and continue a darts club, the club will close.

Over the next 12 weeks; initially very little will change. Booked in events, events prior to closing, will continue as planned. We will be reducing the opening hours of the club, and only open when an event is planned; as it isn’t cost effective to open for the sake of it. This means weekly events like ADC/WADC Vaults, JDC Volts etc. will continue until further notice.

As the end of the lease approaches we will begin the strip out the club and remove the contents. Some items will be available for sale; more information about this will be provided as and when we inventorize everything.

For members, we plan to close public entry on the 9th November 2026 as that will then allow us enough time to strip out everything we need to.

A weekend of closing down events will be planned for 6th, 7th & 8th November 2026, including a closing tournament and closing party.

What this means for certain groups
• We will not be able to host the Mens and Ladies darts league teams for the duration of the Autumn/Winter 26/27 league; the teams are welcome to use the club for their matches until 9th November 2026 if they wish whilst they find a new home.
• Portsmouth Darts League will communicate their plans directly.
• Portsmouth Darts Academy will continue with their current Season 5; when this ends on 25th October 2026 the academy will close. Please see their specific socials Portsmouth Darts Academy for their more in-depth update.

We would like to thank those of you who have supported us over the last 15 months; we’ve had some great times whilst in charge of The Phoenix. We hope to see you over the next 12 weeks, if only to say goodbye!
