Selling a lifestyle of health & true consistency 🤝…

I’ve been doing a lot of digging inside my business recently, looking at numbers, looking at what can improve and having a little audit shall we say.

People generally reach out for ‘fat loss’ or to look a bit better but that’s not actually what I sell. Do I get people short term results and fat loss? Of course, BUT…

The real wins, the real test of a business is seeing just how many members are staying for LONG periods of time, turning up weekly, consistently focusing on their health and making WF and their health something a major part of their lifestyle.

I feel I’ve got the right formula for;

Great coaching,
Varied classes,
Top equipment,
Welcoming people,
& a top community that people enjoy being a part of.

It’s a huge buzz to see the feedback, the refferals, the results and help a wide range of people weekly.

That’s what improved health is about. It’s not about quick fixes, it’s not about short term fat loss….. it’s about the journey, the long term improvements, the people you do it with and the consistency you can get 👍🏻🤝.

Lifting weights 👊🏻🏋🏼‍♂️👇…

This is a snapshot from our strong session this morning which is small group personal training with 2 qualified coaches.

I’d like to think these days EVERYONE knows how important lifting weights are for all health markers. Lifting weights and getting stronger impact literally every aspect of your day to day life and it’s great to see so many people now prioritizing this.

At WF I like to use resistance & weights not only in the strong sessions but in all of our classes in various formats. It’s a big reason people are seeing changes physically but also with performance levels as well.

You SHOULD be lifting weights if you want to improve your health. Putting resistance through your muscles regularly will change how you look, how you feel and how you perform.

The icing on the cake is lifting in an environment which is coached properly, around positive people and a friendly atmosphere 😀.

Monday thoughts 💭…

I’ve checked in with many clients over the weekend and a common theme is progress isn’t always smooth sailing.

The reality of progress is some weeks are easy and you can tick all the boxes, and some weeks life throws spanners in the works and things become more of a struggle.

THAT’S NORMAL.

Those who achieve the best progress inside my programs are those who don’t dwell on tougher days and they have a mindset of ‘I’ll do as many positive actions as possible even if not perfect’

The aim is CONSISTENCY over time not perfection daily over a short period. I don’t always get every set workout in or eat to plan BUT I am consistent enough over time to make progress.

Too many people think it’s ALL or NOTHING and that’s absolutely not the case. Just because you can’t be optimal one week doesn’t mean you should give up on it 👊🏻.

Use that mindset going in to the week ahead 🤝

Changing shape, body fat levels & feeling confident going in to her wedding (this August) was her initial goal.

Emma’s still got 8 weeks to keep improving these results but she’s done the majority of the work over time.

There’s been no extremes, not in the gym 4/5 times a week, nothing unrealistic. It’s been a case of habits & lifestyle change and finding a plan that suits her busy life as a mum & business owner.

‘I don’t have time’ is something I hear a lot but this is another example of why that’s complete nonsense and EVERYONE has time to change their health in a positive way.

You get to choose what your outcomes and priorities are with your health. You can make excuses or find a way and that’s what Emma has done.

Again no extremes, just something that’s sustainable, manageable & flexible so that progress can be made without hating the process.

‘Small habits compounded over time = major changes’…

Earlier this week I did a presentation on Teams about health in the workplace, and I spoke about my experience on the biggest struggles I see people have.

A major problem for people is they think every area has to be mastered to get progress and it’s simply not true.

To get amazing results you don’t need to do 4/5 workouts a week, add 10k steps to your day, eat low calories and tick off every habit.

A huge part of my job especially online is making sure clients are ticking boxes daily. They’re not weighing out food, tracking every single calorie and doing extremes but they’re hitting markers I set reguaurly.

They have balance, they have structure, they have flexibility and they get RESULTS doing a program they can stick to.

If you hate a program or plan the likelihood of you sticking to it will be very slim. There’s ways to improve your health and still enjoy your life 👍🏻. If you need any help navigating that journey then just reach out

Stop relying on HOW YOU FEEL when it comes to your progress.

Your mind will give you different thoughts every single day without any data or insights. Some days you may feel great and other days you may feel bloated and lethargic.

The body scanner has been a game changer for my gym as people now have real data and numbers to see how their body is made up.

Tracking not just weight but muscle mass, body fat, visceral fat, water, proteins, BMI and more. It gives a real breakdown to ensure members and clients know where can be worked on and trust the data rather than guess work.

Knowing the progress on your journey really does matter 👍🏻. Get tracking data

A lifeline for me through a difficult time 💭..

One thing I’ve realised over the years in this industry and speaking to lots of people weekly is that you don’t know the struggles people have outside the gym.

Everyone has different life issues, battles, problems and sometimes it’s easy to overlook. I love reading reviews and seeing the impact the gym has on people more so mentally than the results they get physically.

The mindset & mental health results are often much more meaningful for many and that’s what the gym & the right environment can do.

As you can see in the review, this person wasn’t sure if they could complete the classes and had worries before joining. As we fast forward there’s some amazing progress being made even with things going on outside the gym and that’s great.

Life isn’t always easy to navigate but still focusing on your health, being around good people and feeling part of something can really make a massive difference to how you feel.

It’s amazing to share feedback from members of WF. This review is exactly my aim for the gym and what I want from member experience coming to our classes.

I believe we have something special in terms of support, community & the progress people make but I would say that…

‘THE DAY YOU PLANT THE SEED IS NOT THE DAY YOU EAT THE FRUIT’

You won’t notice changes after 1 good workout.

You won’t notice changes after 1 good meal.

You won’t notice changes after 1 good day.

Anything good takes time. You have to plant the seed with your training, nutrition, habits and find consistency over time to get the results you want.

It’s a quote that’s always worth remembering because we can all absolutely relate to it in some way.

Big changes take time and you need to remember that on your journey to better health 👌🏻💪🏻
