Watchet Annual Wheelbarrow Race Watchet's spectacular and 'wacky' F1 energised street version of teams of 2 in their customised wheelbarrows race along the circuit de Watchet.

Amazing custom-barrows. Spectacular Fancy Dress. Watchet's Version of F1, teams of two race pub to pub in wheelbarrows, many in fancy dress and customised barrow for this annual gathering. Start line is on the Esplanade with the "Pit" action building from around midday. Team Categories:- Men's, Ladies, Mixed, Fancy Dress. Prizes/Trophies for fastest Male, Female, Mixed and "Best Fancy Dress". Record is around 5 minutes for this 700 metre course

Team bookings contact email [email protected] with your contact details and we will be in touch. Entries will only be accepted by Race Control on the qualifying / team registration date. Further details/entry form nearer the time. Entries limited to 30 places, based on a "first come, first served" basis, only your completed entry form and fee on allocation/registration day by Race Control confirms your booking/grid slot! See you all on The Esplanade (start/finish line) by 1pm😎 for pre-race fluid check +competition observation, photos, paparazzi interviews and racers fancy dress voting.🤩 Thank you racers, pitstops and spectators in advance - remember it's a fun-fun-fun-fundraiser - every penny does make a difference. Watchet Carnival collection buckets and Grab-A-Grand Raffle tickets will be on sale during and after the race 🫶

😍 Fancy Dress - no change - Each team gets a vote to decide the winner. You may vote for ONE TEAM ONLY (not yourself!). Each team will be given a voting slip on race day and must cast their vote no later than 1.30 pm.🤩 Good luck everyone!
