A weekend of strong pace and recovery drives at Whilton Mill for Cooper Campbell-Lees during WMKC Round 3.
ใ…ค
Cooper qualified strongly inside the top group and backed it up with another solid heat performance. A DNS in the second heat created a difficult route through the weekend, but he responded perfectly in the B Final with a drive from P8 to P3 to secure his place back in the A Final. Starting deep in the field for the final, Cooper charged through the pack and was running inside the top fifteen before an incident ended his race late on.

Round 3 of the WMKC Championship takes us to Whilton Mill this weekend.

One of the UKโ€™s most technical kart circuits, Whilton rewards drivers who can stay composed under pressure while managing constant changes in direction and close racing throughout the field.

With competitive grids expected once again, consistency across the weekend will be key. Strong ex*****on in qualifying and clean racing through the heats can make all the difference heading into the finals.

The KMS Race Team heads into the weekend focused and ready for the challenge.

Itโ€™s race week for the Kato Motorsport as we head to Whilton Mill for Round 3 of the WMKC Championship.

A circuit that demands precision, consistency, and strong racecraft, Whilton Mill always produces close competition from the very first lap. With another competitive Junior Rotax grid expected this weekend, every session will matter.

A weekend that saw potential but didnโ€™t go our way โ€ฆ

Round 2 of was at and another weekend improving with ๐Ÿ“ˆ Kart was great all weekend and could not have asked for more from the team and .campbell.76 ๐Ÿ”ง

Qualifying went well finishing p13 in group with only a few laps due to a red flag ๐Ÿšฉ

Heat 1 didnโ€™t go our way with a bent axcel meaning we did not finish the race ๐Ÿ”ง and heat 2 we got caught in an unfortunate situation as seen in one of the photos ๐Ÿ“ธ

Super heats went well making up 17 positions in heat 1 and a noscone in heat 2 reset our progress.

The results meant we started the b final in 14th, however introducing someone to the grass resulted in a DSQ.

Not the weekend we hoped for, but plenty to take away, getting better in the kart every weekend thanks to ๐Ÿ“ˆ we go again for round 2 at Whilton ๐Ÿ’ช

A very strong weekend at whilton for round 2 of the ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Friday practice went well finding pace in the warm conditions ๐ŸŒค๏ธ

Saturday was practice and qualifying day. Practice went well, improving around the track. We started the weekend strong, qualifying p7 in group 1 tenth of pole and p21 overall out of 84 ๐Ÿ’ช

Sunday was heats and finals day with my first ever weekend with a C- final ๐Ÿ˜‚

We carried on the progress through the heats finishing p11 and p12 from p9 on the grid.

These results ment we started the A- final in p23 and a strong drive secured p13 / 83 ๐Ÿ’ช
A result to be proud of and good progress to take into the JKC in a couple of weeks.

Last weekend was my first time racing in the and at with .

A new tyre and different chassis meant there was lots to get used to โ€ฆ

After the practice sessions on Saturday we went into qualifying, were I qualified p10 in group and 19th overall . A positive way to start the weekend ๐Ÿ’ช

We showed progress through the heats, moving forward, however penalties moved us back and we ended up starting the A final in p27.

An unfortunate dnf on the formation lap, due to the spark plug meant we did not start the final and unable to make progress in the wet ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

Overall a positive first weekend at the , progressing throughout the weekend. A big thank you to for the weekend and all the help. Thanks to ash for keeping me entertained all weekend ๐Ÿ˜‚

March madness

Last weekend was round 3 of the championship and my first race meeting of 2026 ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ

It was a great weekend and another outing with , and my first race with my new kart. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

We made solid progress through Friday and Saturday testing, getting more comfortable with the kart and finding pace each session despite a few issues early on. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Sunday brought mixed grid racing, a front and back start for the heats decided my starting position for the final.

๐‡๐ž๐š๐ญ ๐Ÿ : I started p4 for heat 1, however contact on the first lap from the driver in front caused me to rejoin the race last, I recovered to 16th.

๐‡๐ž๐š๐ญ ๐Ÿ : For my back start, I started 20th and finished 9th.

๐“๐ก๐ž ๐…๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

The final saw my first ever session in the wet with my new kart. Starting p23, I finished p11 and managed to take home a trophy too ๐Ÿ†
