We are now halfway through this summers league - well done to all teams so far, some great matches and results 🎾. We have a few teams topping the tables in their respective divisions too. The heatwave has well and truly won this week however with quite a few matches postponed so here are last weeks results. Don’t forget spectators and support are always welcome 🎾🎾🎾

After qualifying for the Singles Ladder Play Off competition, Matt Lennon and Alistair Wood worked their way through the earlier rounds to meet in the final.
In windy conditions, a tough match went the full distance and required a third final set. Matt finally winning and securing the title for a second year.

WTC Men’s 3rd team finally receive their Div 6 runners up trophies from the Summer League.
Captained by Eddie Simms, the team included Matt Lennon, Fernando Aparicio, Scott Hatfield, Bobby Akkermans, Joel Davidson and Richard Kovacs. (Squad players not present are Freddie Simcox and Chris Rees).

WTC Mixed A team beat the Boat Club 3-1 last night!! 12 year old Freya Simcox was the star of the show, partnering Mark Follett won their first match 7-5, 7-5 and narrowly lost out in their second game 3-6, 5-7. Matt Stead and Lizzie Cooke won both of their matches, 7-5, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-3. A great result.
