Game of the Week - Cosmic Encounter

Cosmic Encounter starts as a semi-cooperative game, as you try to convince people to help you build colonies on other players’ planets. Every colony gets you closer to winning the game so, before you know it, former friends become enemies as they start working against you. Throw in some tactical card play, and dozens of factions that you can play as, and you’ve got a fun, chaotic and infinitely replayable game.

Come play it with us on Tuesday. It will be set up and ready to go.

Game of the Week

In Splendor you play as a gem merchant trying to gain prestige for your business. On your turn you can collect tokens or use tokens to acquire a gem card. These cards can be used in future turns, alongside tokens, to gain more and more valuable gems. Each turn your buying power grows and soon you are able to buy prestigious gems and entice patrons (who also increase your prestige). The first player to reach 15 prestige points wins. The game is simple to learn, but has a surprising amount of tactical depth.

A fun opening night with ages ranging from 17 to 70+.
Games of Tsuro, Uno, Azul, 13 Beavers, Star Realms and That's Not a Hat were enjoyed.

Dungeons & Dragons anyone?!

The club has everything you'd need to run a D&D campaign - Players Handbook, Monster Manual, Dungeon Masters Guide, character sheets (pre-made and blank) and more dice than you can shake a stick at.
