The Griffith Institute for Educational Research conducted the world’s most comprehensive study on early swimming and development. They surveyed parents of 7,000 children under five from Australia, New Zealand, and the US over three years, plus intensive testing of 180 children aged 3-5.
The results were striking. Children who participated in early swimming showed clear advantages:
