🐟 IMPORTANT FISHERY RULES & FISH WELFARE REMINDER 🐟

Following a recent incident involving individuals attempting to remove fish from the fishery, we’d like to remind all anglers that fish welfare is our number one priority. Hopefully it’s obvious but it’s CATCH & RELEASE ONLY!

Our rules are in place to protect our stock, our facilities, and the future of the fishery:

🎣 Lake One is for experienced carp anglers only who are confident handling fish up to 30lb.

🎣 All anglers on Lake One must have:
• A large, well-padded unhooking mat
• A heavy-duty weigh sling
• A suitable landing net

🎣 Maximum 3 rods per angler

🎣 Barbless hooks only

🎣 Minimum 10lb line and size 8 barbless hooks on Lake One

🎣 No fixed leads or unsafe rigs. Leads must be able to eject safely if a fish becomes snagged.

🎣 Suitable fish care products such as Klin-ik are encouraged and appreciated.

🎣 No keepnets on Lake One. Elsewhere, no more than 25lb of fish may be retained in keepnets and for no longer than 4 hours.

🚗 Vehicles must be parked in designated car parks or allocated parking areas. Vehicles must not be driven onto pegs.

🐕 One dog per angler. Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.

👥 One partner/non-angling guest per paying angler.

🗑️ Please take all litter home with you.

🔥 No barbecues. Small gas cookers are permitted.

⚠️ All fish remain the property of the fishery. Any attempt to remove fish or breach fish welfare rules will be treated extremely seriously.

⚠️ We reserve the right to refuse entry or evict anglers and guests at any time without prior notice.

Thank you to the overwhelming majority of anglers who respect the fish, the fishery, and fellow anglers. And as always, if you see anything contrary to the above please contact us immediately.

Calling all Coarse Fishers! With the rivers now closed for coarse fishing, it’s a great time to get on Lakes 2 & 3 🎣

Fishing’s been steady with active fish and great conditions as it starts to warm up.

Both lakes are holding a good mix of coarse fish — bream, tench, ide and carp — with plenty of bites about if you put the time in.

We’ve also got match bookings and lake exclusives available if anyone’s looking to get something in the diary.

Worth getting a session in 👍

🎣 Fosse Way Fishery Update 🎣

Since opening in 2022, the fishery has been a learning curve, and we’ve taken on board feedback where improvements were needed.

We’ve now repaired and improved 7 fishing pegs that had fallen into a poor state, and we’ve also upgraded the toilet facilities, replacing them and adding two new toilets 🚻. Further works are due in the new year including further peg upgrades and new stocking of fish.

We want to underline that we are OPEN and fishing well during the current period, with some great carp being caught.

📢 Important Alert from Fosse Way Fishery 📢

Due to several recent incidents where fish have been removed from the premises, we have had to make the difficult decision to BAN THE USE OF KEEP NETS for the foreseeable future. Keep nets will now only be allowed during official matches. This decision is to protect our fish stocks and ensure everyone can continue to enjoy quality fishing here at Fosse Way.

On a brighter note, we’re excited to share that a beautiful 20lb carp was recently caught from Lake 1! 🎣 It’s always great to see our fish thriving, and we’re looking forward to seeing more incredible catches. Thank you to everyone for your understanding and continued support. Let’s keep our waters safe and full for everyone to enjoy!

Please contact us immediately if you see people trying to remove fish from the premises. Anyone caught doing so will be banned for life.
