Well well wellβ¦β¦.
Final game of the season for our u9s and to finish off a great season we went to battle with Thorton Cleveleys Falcons for the Hogan Trophy π.
The game was staged at Blackpool FC and we thank them and the BDYFL for hosting this great event.
Huge shout out to the Falcons who were absolutely an amazing dance partner giving everyone in the stadium such a entertaining game.
It was a cagey start for both teams, however the game soon sprung into action when our Sam squeezed in the first game, but to the falcons credit within a minute it was soon 1-1.
An amazing end to the first half saw our u9s go 3-1 up.
Both teams went all out in the 2nd half, our u9s took a 4-1 lead, however out of know where the game turned and with 10 minutes to go the Falcons pulled it back to 4-3.
A nail biting finish and the boys put there foot on the accelerator to take a commanding 7-3 lead with less than a minute to go the Falcons struck home with a great penalty.
Final result Warton FC u9s take home the Hogan Trophy winning 7-4 ππ.
An absolutely amazing achievement for our boys.

Coaches player of the match (chosen by Noah) went to Red & Josh. Really difficult choose today as it could have gone to any player , well done boys.
Parents player of the match went to Adam, this again just calls out how much he embraced
todayβs challenge.
Huge well done boys and a huge well done team and now 25/26 Hogan Trophy Winner.
