Thank you everyone for coming to run today for our 40th Birchwood 10k. A fantastic effort by everyone on such a warm and sunny morning - hope everyone enjoyed! ☀️

Did you know that the Birchwood 10k is an entirely club-run event? From marshalling, through organising road closures, to sourcing prizes (including ✨The Towels✨), we take care of everything ourselves. All proceeds from the race go straight back into the running of Spectrum Striders Running Club, and without it, we'd struggle!

So, it's brilliant to see such amazing support from our fellow running clubs around the north west and beyond - over 80 clubs so far!

A particularly big shout out and heartfelt thanks to the following clubs, who have really come out to represent 🙌

⛔ ROAD CLOSURES ⛔

Birchwood residents: you may have seen us out and about today putting up road signs for our planned closures on Sunday 17 August.

We will reopen the roads as soon as is safe and practical after all runners have gone through (but not before).
