Glazebury Cricket Club A Cheshire village cricket club founded in 1896 & still going strong, with a history of successful Senior/Junior sections. New players always welcome!

Glazebury Cricket Club's in its current format was formed in 1962, but its origins date back to 1896 when it was founded under the name of 'All Saints Glazebury Cricket Club', and links directly to 'Bury Lane Cricket Club', which existed as far back as the 1860's (Bury Lane being the original name of Glazebury Village). The Club as it stands today is managed by volunteer officers and an Executive Committee, elected at the Annual General Meeting, held in November. We have 2 open age teams (1st & 2nd's) playing on Saturday's and are looking to set up a 3rd team in 2024. We are affiliated to the Cheshire Cricket Board. We have an open Constitution and a Five-year Development Plan. The Club achieved the prestigious ECB's ClubMark and Focus Club Status in June 2005 which has been maintained following an ECB review assessment in June 2008, 2011, 2014, and then also in 2023. We are also registered with the Inland Revenue as a Community Amateur Sports Club. We are always looking for new players of all ages - for how to join our club, please see our website for contact details.

[Kindly note: Due to the League we are currently playing in, Glazebury CC is not permitted to engage the services of a professional player, or play a professional player of any other club in fixtures organised by the League. A player is deemed to be a professional if he or she is likely to be remunerated for playing cricket during the season.]
