Was an absolute privilege to take to her first comp today with the at 🙏🏻

An 8/9 performance & walked away with best female lifter!

We have been working together since January to build up to this moment and I couldn't be more proud of Lauren for the numbers she put up today!

I will let her do her full round up but I left the North West today as one proud coach.

I won't go into too much detail and allow the girls to do their own round ups of their performances. But there was success for each of them.

got her 400+ dots.
broke a British record. fit broke 3 British records & came 2nd.

When I first got into powerlifting the Irish pro was something that seemed so far away. Something that only the best of the best did. You really had to be good to get on that platform.

So as a coach to have 3 of my lifters who did their first ever powerlifting comp with me to compete together on this platform was a very special moment for me as a coach.

I know every single one of them will come away a better lifter through being ballsy and stepping onto the platform to compete today.

Well done girls. You've done yourselves and me proud 🖤🤍

A huge congratulations to the winner of the women's classic raw open , a legend of the sport. I know the girls consider it an honour to be competing on the same platform as you 💪🏻.

A huge thankyou to who drove down from Northern Ireland to help wrap, handle & part with wisdom. Your continued support & help is always appreciated.

ABS Pro:Am & Pro. Dublin 🇮🇪

What a phenomenal day of lifting. 👍🏻 First off it goes without saying that I am beyond proud of my lifter .fit for her performance on the platform & 2nd place in the Pro:Am.

When I convinced her into her first ABS Pro:am in Glasgow she came 8th. We drove to Glasgow for the experience of competition with the aim of not letting her go stale & challenging her. I know that girl who was beside herself with her performance in Glasgow would be proud of the hard work and dedication you put in to climb your way up the ladder Char.

8th, 5th & now 2nd in her third pro:am with the

Under the toughest conditions she has faced as a lifter. She showed who tf she is and rose to the challenge. Beyond proud.

For our team she has paved the way for two more of our female lifters & who will compete in their first pro:am with ABS in November.

We also have & .competes taking on ABS Glasgow and looking to climb up the ranks in their divisions.

As a coach these are the comps you want to be a part of with your lifters. No stone is left unturned and there are no questions over depth, press commands etc. The standard is high as it should be.

A huge thankyou to and his team for driving forward the sport of Powerlifting in Europe. Keep bringing us comps & we will keep bringing the lifters 💪🏻

The pro afterwards was a spectacle. Some of the best lifters in the world & Europe moving mad weight was a sight to behold.

Less than two weeks until we see .fit compete at the Pro:Am in Dublin. 🇮🇪

Prep has been tough but Char is a phenomenal athlete and things have clicked & fallen into place just in time.

She is no stranger to the international stage:

With wins alongside strong totals put up at international comps in places like:

Limerick
New Orleans
Hungary
Glasgow
Cologne

Char is no stranger to stepping off a plane and kicking some ass. I'm confident she's about to add kgs and challenge on what is the biggest platform in Europe.

Proud of you mate for all that you have achieved and will continue to.

Liam has been ridiculously consistent & disciplined over the past 5 months and we are now at the 10kg down mark. There were several social events & holidays during that period that he has managed to navigate and stay to the plan👏🏻

AWPC European Championships. Salo, Finland 🇫🇮✅

To finish off what has been a fantastic weekend, we've had all of our lifters podium & added 5 more international wins to our team tally.

I'll let them all do their own individual write ups however...

5 of the team were competing internationally for the first time & done themselves & the .livetolift brand proud.

We had teens, juniors, open lifters & masters lifters and it's always nice to see the team gel especially when we go away together.

In what was a team effort from myself & .fit all lifters were handled well, all knees were wrapped on time, all lifts were viewed & all attempts were put in on time. was instrumental in helping warming up the girls in the flight behind the main bulk of lifters & the whole day ran smoothly. So huge thanks to Char & Jen for making that happen.

All lifts were recorded by the wonderful & the team reel was done edited & rolled out in record time.

International meets run smoothly when it's a team effort & I can't thank every single one of them for making it a fantastic weekend & full of great memories.

From what we have seen of Finland, it's beautiful & I would highly recommend a visit.

Onwards now to the Brits in Manchester after a well deserved rest for the remainder of June after 3 countries in 10 days 😂

I want to talk to you about my "fitness journey" and how it's been anything far from linear.

Mine is slightly different from the average gym goers. As there came a point where not only was training for pleasure but it also became a business.

It wasn't linear because there were offshoots of goals. What started as wanting to become fitter for cricket became wanting to look better. Looking better became wanting to become stronger. Stronger became powerlifting and eventually it all merged into business goals.

There were times where I had my foot firmly on the gas & there were times where I was lazy. There were times when I had very little life stress and times when I had so much that training was non existent. There were times when I was lean, times when I was fatter. Times where I was weak and times where I was strong. However in some shape or form during the harder times I did do something albeit very little.

I won't go into what I was doing before I stepped into the gym for the first time at 24/25 but let's just say I was doing the complete opposite of showing my body the respect it deserved. But clearly as you can see from the pose in the first pic I thought I was massive. 😂

Fitness taught me:

- Discipline & long term commitment towards a goal. A goal that changed and morphed over time.
- That a lot is achievable but not every goal is achievable.
- Self respect, when I look back over the years I was working on myself in ways my future self would benefit from massively.
- Delayed gratification & patience.

Coaching taught me:

- Some are gifted & some are not. That's life but wins are individual & should be praised, it's your journey not everyone else's.
- That I love guiding others to fulfil a % of their full potential
- Some people prefer balance in their lives and others are one track minded when it comes to their goals.
- I don't have to be in the best shape of my life in order to be a good coach.

I like anyone else can get caught up in the now and short term thinking of "I was fitter a year ago" or "I'm weaker than I was before" however this is the most important bit:

I am stronger, leaner, fitter & happier than I was when I started.
