We are a friendly club with excellent facilities including 8 courts (5 floodlit), changing facilities The club was first established in 1921 at Bradshaw Lane.

Please come along to our practice night from 6pm, gents on Mondays and ladies on Wednesdays. Summer league matches take place from April till Sept on Tuesdays (ladies/mixed) and Thursdays (gents). We moved to our new home in Stockton Lane, which we share with Grappenhall Football Club, in September 2006. We have excellent facilities here, both for playing and socially with a large, newly built club house. We have 8 courts, 6 of which are astroturf and 2 hard courts, with 5 of the courts having floodlights. Thus we have facilities to enable us to play all year round, which many of us hardier souls do. In addition to social tennis we enter teams in a number of competitions at all levels and welcome new members of every standard. We play not only in the Warrington League during the summer but also in the North East Cheshire Winter League. Within the club we have a Floodlight League during the winter and an online tennis ladder. We have a very good coach, Jimmy Cleaver, who offers both individual and group lessons to adults and children. Teams are entered in the junior leagues and new players are always welcome. We have an active programme of social and competitive tennis, coaching for a range of ages and abilities, and a brilliant membership who love getting involved in club life.

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and passionate about coaching who would love the opportunity to become part of our club, develop players and help us continue to grow.

DUTIES:

Club Grounds
Mowing grass, keeping paths clean and clear, Trimming hedges and general bramble, woodland maintenance

Tennis Courts
Court brushing / clearing using the small tractor and associated implements
Algae/ moss treatment bi- annually
Empty bins, and sweep and clear debris around Club House

Padel Courts
Empty bins
Remove debris from courts
Clear any rubbish
Removed debris/ leaves ( mainly autumn)

Our brand new purpose built pickleball court is now open. Pickle is great fun & much easier to play than tennis. You can play it in a singles or doubles format. It’s the fastest growing sport in the US & is gaining popularity in the UK so why not give it a try?
