FULL TIME 🏉

Woolston Rovers Greens 14 – 24 Leigh East

Woolston went into the second half in the lead after playing some absolutely outstanding rugby. Unfortunately, Leigh East came back fighting in the second half and managed to take the win.

Whilst a defeat is never something we want, the last time we played Leigh East in a league game, they beat us 54-0. Today’s scoreline shows just how far these lads have come, the commitment they have put into training and how much they have grown and developed as a team.

There is so much to be proud of. The rugby these lads played today was outstanding, and although we didn’t get the result we wanted, they should all be proud of themselves and how far they have come. 💪🏻

We dust ourselves off, we go again, and we keep moving forward. We keep pushing, keep working and keep believing in each other.

Rylands have withdrawn from the Warrington Cup semi-final, so unfortunately we won’t get the opportunity to play them.

We wish Rylands all the best for the rest of the season. 💚💛

🏉💛💚 WHAT A DAY FOR THE ROVERS! 💚💛🏉

Today we travelled over to Wigan St Pats for a festival, and despite the awful weather 🌧️ and some of our lads picking up injuries along the way, they dug deep and finished 2nd! 🥈👏

The lads showed grit, determination and unbelievable team spirit, continuing to battle on even when they were carrying knocks. They never gave up, they worked for each other and they gave absolutely everything they had.

The rugby on show from our lads today was outstanding. The way they played together, supported each other and fought right until the end made us incredibly proud. 💪🏉

A massive thank you to our amazing coaches for everything you do for these boys, and to all the volunteers and parents who give up their time, stand on the sidelines and support the team in all weathers. You are all a huge part of this team. ❤️

💚💛 FULL TIME | WHAT A PERFORMANCE! 💛💚

Woolston Rovers U13s 62- 0 Crosfields Vipers U13s

What a performance from our boys tonight! We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them as they book their place in the next round of the Warrington Cup. 🏆

The scoreline speaks for itself, but it was about so much more than the points. It was built on hard work, determination, discipline, and an incredible team spirit. Every player gave absolutely everything, playing for the badge, for the coaches, and most importantly, for each other.

From the first whistle to the last, the effort never dropped. They defended with heart, attacked with confidence, and never took their foot off the gas. They showed resilience, commitment and respect throughout, proving what this team is all about.

This is just the beginning of the journey, and tonight they’ve earned the right to keep dreaming.

Congratulations, boys. Enjoy this one, recover well, and let’s get ready for the next challenge.

After weeks of hard work, commitment and preparation, the boys are locked in, focused, and ready to leave everything out on that pitch. Every tackle, every carry, every metre gained will count as they battle for their place in the next round and take one step closer to the dream of playing the Warrington Cup Final at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

They’ll fight for every ball, stand shoulder to shoulder for each other, and wear that green and gold with pride.

Now they need the Woolston family behind them.

🔰 UNLUCKY, LADS! 🔰

Our North West Cup journey came to an end today in the quarter-final against a strong Leigh East side. We always knew it was going to be a tough game, but our lads showed spirit, determination and heart from start to finish.

They never gave up, kept fighting for every ball and, most importantly, worked for each other — and that’s worth more than any result. 💚

We keep moving, keep learning and keep pushing forward together. Proud of you, lads! 👏💪
