Today is a good day 🥰 (although please do excuse the state of the pony!)

Some of you will know that I've had no end of trouble with this little man over the past 12 months: lame in April with a badly bruised foot, blew a hole in his ligament just before the British Championships, and then in January, just as we were ready to start some strengthening work, he came down with a bad bout of winter laminitis and was diagnosed with cushings thanks to his weight gain due to being off work 😫

It's felt like forever, but today was my first time sitting on him since August, and what a little superstar he was! 🥰 40mph gusting winds and he came out just the same as always 😊 like putting on your comfiest pair of slippers 💜

We've got a long way to go, and the end goal is still undecided, but for now I'm just happy to be back on my wee man 🥰🥰

I totally suck at taking photos and videos BUT I am currently in Hungary with the Némethy Lovasíjász Akadémia/Némethy Horseback Archery Academy taking part in the first ever Level 3 Trainers module 😁🇭🇺

Learning lots and lots, I have SO much to bring back for my students, plus some really exciting opportunities coming up 🤩💜🏹🐴

A great week at the office 😁💪

As a coach, when I'm away competing, its not just myself who I'm there for but also usually, a multitude of students, and the Winter Games was no different 😊

This year I took 5 students with me; Issy & Katie as part of the GB Team, and also Richard, Katherine & Charlie who were competing as individuals 🏹

It was an honour to be invited onto the podium with Richard (3rd place individual Senior 3*) and Charlie (1st place individual Senior 2*) and to stand behind the flag with Katie & Issy at their first team event 🥰

The life of a coach certainly isn't easy, but it is rewarding! 💜

Much improved weather for today's Raid runs, although quite blowy! ☀️🌀

This was my best run, target points were 3444 😊 not my best R234 score, but not my worst, and definitely not mad about it 😁

A very cold and wet Tower90 today to start the competition off! ☔️

Having been at the track since 9am supporting students, and then accidentally ending up at the track a solid 15 minutes earlier than I needed to be for the last group, I was a solid block of ice by the time we started 😅 the loading was terrible, the shooting wasn't much better, and I dont think I've ever been so cold sat on a horse in my life 🙈

But did I have an absolute blast charging down the track on my noble steed Rosset? ABSOLUTELY 😁 Onwards & upwards for Raid tomorrow 💜💜

Super excited to be competing alongside 2 of my lovely students, with more lovely students competing as individuals 🥰

And I have one of my favourite ponios in the whole wide world to compete with 🤩🤩

The BHAA would like to wish the team for the first stage of the International Horseback Archery Alliance European Grand Prix the best of luck in the competition starting tomorrow! 🤩

Emily, Issy & Katie have already been at the venue for 3 days participating in training clinics with some of the best horseback archery coaches from around the world, and we're sure their hard work will pay off 😁

Day 1 in Barcelona 🇪🇸

A full day of training with Christoph Némethy focusing on tower 😊 A bit ropey from my end, discovered my new (old) technique for holding arrows in the bow hand is now causing me a serious amount of pinch so its back to the old technique 😅

Had the pleasure of riding both Tanc & Rossett yesterday, Tanc was such a sweetheart, but unfortunately just a bit too narrow and busy in the front end with lots of knee action for me, and Rossett is like slipping on an old pair of comfy slippers 🥰
