Updating your Bosch eBike to the new 120Nm Performance Upgrade (2026) sounds like a no-brainer—more torque, more power—but we think you should have a think 1st!

The 120Nm update is impressive—but it’s not “free performance.”

Biggest trade-offs:

* ⚙️ More wear on components like chains and cassettes

* 🔋 Less range as you’ll need to use more battery power

* 🎮 More aggressive handling with the added torque

Perhaps for higher end performance riders it’s a good thing. What do you think…,,,
