⭐ Ride The Waves Of Life ⭐

In order to see progress towards our goals, we need to be consistent in our efforts.

We often view this as a specific set of rules or boundaries, an all or nothing kind of approach.

This works fine as long as other aspects of our lives allow for it.

Once we hit a bad night's sleep, a tough day at work, screaming toddlers, illness, periods, birthdays, holidays, bereavements, stress...the ups and downs of life...those rigid ideals we've set around our nutrition become really hard to sustain and can leave us feeling like we've failed.

We can be consistent in our efforts whilst allowing for flexibility in our approach.

Riding the waves of life rather than trying to swim against them will keep you moving forward without the difficulties and exhaustion of fighting them.

Top Tip Tuesday!

⭐ Slow Down ⭐

We know you're busy; work, kids, housework, gym, family, friends, events...they take up SO much time and energy!

Eating can be a second thought throughout the day.
Grabbing something at a drive through, 10 minutes between meetings, whatever the kids leave.

We ignore hunger and eat quickly.

Could you slow down for just ONE meal a day?
Could you sit at a table, put your phone and laptop to one side, place your knife and fork down between bites? Just 15 minutes, once a day?

You'll be surprised how you feel.
Slowing down helps us to tune into how we feel as we eat. We can hear the signals that we're full, we can taste and enjoy food more, and we get some very much needed head space.

Challenge yourself to stop for 15 minutes to eat lunch today. Let us know what you feel!

If we go all in from the beginning we can quickly lose momentum and the changes are so large they're uncomfortable to keep up for long.

Making one small positive change each week is:

MumStrong Pregnancy & Postnatal Fitness Classes are back at CrossFit Outwork.

We're excited to announce the relaunch of the MumStrong Pregnancy & Postnatal Fitness Classes at CrossFit Outwork

Classes will restart on Wednesday 19th May at 10.30am and run every Wednesday following at the same time.

If you'd like to reserve your spot, you can head to the link below and get booked on straight away!

There is a PAYG option of £10 per class or a class pack option of 6 classes for £50. Just select "Book a Session" or "Buy a Pricing Plan" when selecting your class.

These classes are suitable for all stages of pregnancy and postnatal recovery, all fitness levels, and are baby-friendly (meaning there's welcoming space for your little ones to come along).

Delivered by a specialist Pregnancy and Postnatal Trainer all sessions are tailored to suit you and wherever you are in your journey.
