🏏 Thank you, Batcheller Monkhouse! 💚

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Batcheller Monkhouse for choosing Warnham Cricket Club to host their annual company stoolball match.

It was fantastic to see the ground being enjoyed in a different way, with plenty of friendly competition, laughter and team spirit throughout the afternoon.

Not only did they hire the ground, they also made a generous donation to support the club. Every pound helps us continue improving this fantastic community asset for everyone to enjoy.

Support like this shows what can happen when local businesses invest back into their local community.

If your business is looking for somewhere different to host a team event, summer social or friendly sports day, we’d love to hear from you.

A big thank you again to everyone at Batcheller Monkhouse for your support. We hope to welcome you back next year! 💚🏏

💚 Community spirit in action. 🏏

One of the biggest attractions on Parish Day wasn’t a fairground ride…

It was a cricket ball.

Our batting cage was packed from start to finish, with children (and plenty of adults!) stepping up to the crease to see how many runs they could score. There were smiles, laughter and some seriously impressive shots!

None of it would have happened without members of our cricket club who gave up their Sunday, standing in the heat for hours, feeding balls into the machine, resetting the nets, encouraging every participant and helping raise money for both Warnham Cricket Club and the Warnham CE Primary School PTFA.

To everyone who volunteered, thank you. Your time, energy and enthusiasm are what make events like this possible.

And to everyone who had a go and so generously donated… thank you. Every ball faced helped support two organisations that are at the heart of our village.

This is what community looks like. 💚🏏

🍺 HELP US FINISH THE KEGS! 🍺

Yesterday was an incredible day for Warnham Parish Day, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Cricket Club and PTFA.

We’ve got one small challenge…

We still have some delicious fresh ale left in the keg, and we’d hate to see it go to waste!

So we’ll be opening the club today from 5pm until 7pm.

🍺 Enjoy a pint in the sunshine with friends.

🏡 Or, if you’re staying in to watch the football this week, we’ll happily pour takeaway pints for you.

🚗 Better still, if you live in Warnham, we’ll even deliver them to your door.

Every pint helps support Warnham Cricket Club and keeps the momentum going after an incredible weekend.

We’d love to see a few familiar faces down at the club this evening.

🏏 WHEN PEOPLE SEE SOMETHING SPECIAL, THEY WANT TO SEE IT FOR THEMSELVES.

We were delighted to welcome John Milne for Horsham to Warnham Cricket Club during Parish Day.

John took the time to visit the club, meet some of the volunteers and hear about what we’re trying to achieve.

Because this isn’t just about cricket.

It’s about creating a thriving community hub that brings people together. A place where families meet, children play, volunteers give their time, local businesses get involved and the whole village benefits.

Pictured with John are Steve Fuller, Chair of Warnham Cricket Club, and Luke, owner of The Horsham Cellar, who wasn’t there as a sponsor today, he was there as a volunteer, helping behind the bar to raise money for both the Cricket Club and the PTFA.

That’s what makes this club special.

People don’t just support it financially, they roll up their sleeves and get involved.

A huge thank you to John for taking the time to visit, and to every volunteer who helped make Parish Day such a success.

We’re proud of how far the club has come, but we’re even more excited about where it’s going.

💚🏏

💚 THIS IS WHAT COMMUNITY LOOKS LIKE. 💚

What a day.

Warnham Parish Day brought the village together once again, and we couldn’t be prouder of what was achieved on the cricket green.

This photo perfectly sums it up.

From left to right are volunteers, local businesses, local government and club representatives, all giving up their time to help make our village a better place.

A huge thank you to:

👏 Jen, Warnham CE Primary School PTFA organiser and one half of the team behind The Horsham Cellar, whose support has transformed what we can offer behind the bar.

🌭 James from Porky Whites, whose fantastic support meant the BBQ was a huge success.

🏛️ Councillor Joanne Knowles, Chair of Horsham District Council, for taking the time to visit and support the event.

🏏 Steve Fuller, Chair of Warnham Cricket Club, whose passion and leadership continue to drive the club forward.

🤝 District Councillor Ross Dye, for his continued support of our local community.

💚 Gregg Maxam, Parish Councillor and Cricket Club Committee member, who gives countless hours behind the scenes to help make events like this happen.

Today wasn’t just about raising money.

It was about showing what Warnham can achieve when volunteers, local businesses, councils and residents all pull in the same direction.

To everyone who came along, enjoyed a burger, had a drink, supported the PTFA, supported the Cricket Club, or simply spent time with friends and neighbours…

Thank you.

We’re building something special at Warnham Cricket Club, and days like today show just what’s possible when a community comes together.

💚🏏

☀️ HOT WEATHER TRAINING UPDATE 🏏

With the warm weather continuing, Friday night cricket will go ahead with sensible precautions in place.

The children’s welfare comes first, so training will be adjusted to suit the conditions.

We will be:

💧 Taking regular water breaks
🌳 Using shade where possible
🏏 Keeping sessions lighter and lower intensity
👀 Monitoring the children throughout
🧢 Encouraging hats, sun cream and plenty of water bottles
⏸️ Pausing or adapting anything if it feels too much

Please make sure children arrive with a full water bottle, sun cream applied and a hat if they have one.

And for the grownups supporting from the boundary… we can confirm the drinks will be served extra cold. 🍺🥂

The BBQ will be on, the bar will be open, and we’re looking forward to another brilliant Friday evening at the club.

See you from 5pm. 💚🏏
