🏏 WHAT A SEASON! 💙💛
And that’s a wrap on our women’s 2026 season!

This was our first season playing league cricket, and to finish top of our group is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of. 🏆💪🏻🥂🎉

What makes it even more special is that most of this team only started playing cricket within the last three years. We’ve learnt so much this season, grown in confidence, improved as cricketers and, most
importantly, had a lot of fun along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone at the club who has supported us throughout the season, and particularly for the coaching sessions which have been invaluable in helping us develop our skills and our game.

And, of course, congratulations to every member of this brilliant squad. Whether batting, bowling, fielding, scoring, supporting from the sidelines or stepping in when needed, everyone has played their part.

First league season. Top of the group. Not bad at all!

🏏 A moment of club history! 💙

Last night, the Heytesbury & Sutton Veny Women’s team played their first ever league match, hosting Shrewton CC at home.

After a couple of seasons building experience at local festivals, the team made a brilliant start to league cricket with an emphatic victory in scorching summer conditions. ☀️💪 All the team played brilliantly with a special mention going out to Juliet for her three amazing catches and run scoring.

A huge thank you to Shrewton CC for a competitive game played in great spirit. Here’s to the first of many league fixtures! 💙💛

🏏 Heytesbury Women’s Softball Cricket Festival is this Sunday, 5th July ☀️

Join us at our beautiful ground in Sutton Veny, Wiltshire for a fantastic day of women’s cricket as six teams come together for what promises to be an unforgettable festival 🙌🏻

The forecast is looking glorious 🌞, so come along, enjoy the cricket, grab something from the BBQ & bar, and don’t miss your chance to win some incredible raffle prizes!
