I have lost 70kg on my personal health and fitness journey

There were highs, lows, things that worked and didn’t work

But, I have been there and gone through the emotions, struggles and what it takes to get to where you want.
Feel the confidence improve, energy levels skyrocket

-I have obsessed over the scales, seen foods as “good” and “bad” and labelled an off day as a “cheat day” (Hate that term by the way)

-I have started again on Monday so many times

-I have avoided being in photos as I hated them

-I have avoided social occasions because I had no confidence

-I have been in the position where I do not know how to train or what a calorie is…

Does this sound familiar?
If I had to do it all again above is what I would do
Are you done with being stuck? Reach out, hire a coach!

Maybe you feel it’s me you want or someone else. (If it’s me though you’re the best 😉)

Something I have always done is listen to the person in front of me. I learned to assess them and note what was important and needed to be considered.

I don’t do copy and paste programmes. Sure I have templates to start from that get adapted for the person based on their needs, wants, lifestyle and ability.

What is the result of this? Well to be honest… results and happy clients. Progress that actually works and a programme that is actually suited to them.

If you have been following me for a while you may recognise this face… If you do you are correct, this is Carl! came back and he wanted more.

There was a series of tough events for Carl in life and he wanted to come back and go somewhere he had never before, get in the best shape of his life and he knew he needed help. He had made some incredible progress on his own. But as we all know, going at it alone can be hard and it’s easy to be biased on your progress and make the what could potentially not be the best decision at the time.

Carl had a short term goal to bring his best ever body composition to a work party and it was only 8 weeks away when we started so we had no time to waste and consistency with the basics and a little extra was key. And Carl did this and more! He gave his all everyday, he was open and honest with everything, this made the coach-client relationship and communication so easy it just fell together.

Carl went to this work party happy and as confident as ever!

Now we move into a brief maintenance phase before we work on the next goal he has in mind. What is it? Well you will have to see in the future 👀

You have been going to the gym for months or even years and you look the same.... Sound relatable?
So you decide you have to train harder
But the reality is you don’t even know what you trained last week, when or the weights and reps. Hell you may not even know what exercises you did!
You don’t need to train harder, you need to train smarter.
You need a plan, structure, direction.
Take the guess work out and be smart. This is when results happen.

We often rely on motivation heavily when it comes to health and fitness journeys. I have seen it so often where people say they didn’t do anything because they had no motivation or couldn’t be bothered, and then they are left and frustrated annoyed with their lack of progress wondering why.

The ones who get results and keep them are the ones who do not rely or lean solely into motivation. They know that ticking the boxes consistently regardless creates the motivation and outcome.

You have it backwards….

Action creates motivation. Do not think it is the otter way around.

Do you rely on motivation too much? 🤔

Trust in the coaching approach is something that is earned over time. Once that trust is truly earned and the buy in is there the real progress comes.

Something I have come to learn in recent years with coaching and it really shows when results are achieved. The coach-client relationship is one of the most important pieces to the puzzle.

If you’re not seeing results, you’re probably not tracking………you’re guessing.

Most people go into a fat loss phase with good intentions but zero structure. And then wonder why the scale won’t move.

Here’s the truth: winging it almost always means eating more than you think, losing muscle instead of fat, and burning out after 3 weeks.

Structure doesn’t mean obsessing over every gram. It means having a calorie target, hitting your protein, and checking in weekly and being honest so you know when to adjust something.

The plan doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to exist.

“Eating clean” doesn’t mean you’re in a calorie deficit.
Whole foods, smoothies and salads can still keep you exactly where you are. Fat loss doesn’t come from food labels, it comes from understanding what your body actually needs and your ability to know how much you’re actually having.

Avoiding the scales doesn’t equal self care.
Avoiding the scale often just hands your progress over to emotions. Data isn’t the problem. Learning how to use it without spiralling is.

You’re not “too busy” to lose weight, you’re just running on chaos. You’re doom scrolling, check your screen time I dare you!
Life isn’t going to calm down. Waiting for a quieter season keeps you stuck in the same body, repeating the same January resets and the “start again on Monday” mindset.

You’re not failing because you like food too much.
You’re failing because every plan you’ve tried expects you to eat like a robot and live like you don’t have a social life. You tried living on salads, chicken rice and broccoli. You don’t have to, unless you want to that is.

Scale fluctuations aren’t sabotaging you, your reaction to them is.
One higher weigh in doesn’t mean you’ve gained fat. The panic restriction and “I’II start again Monday” usually do more damage than the number ever could.

So what could you do instead?

You could stop chasing perfection and start building awareness.

You could learn what a realistic calorie deficit looks like without tracking every gram.

You use the scale as information, not a judgement on your worth.

You create systems that work on busy workdays, stressful weeks and social weekends.

You focus on consistency over drama.

This is what I coach my 1:1 clients.
Fat loss that lasts, not another short term reset and a visit from the fat tax collector.

Want to know how?

I have more spaces for clients now! DM me to get your journey started.
