Amazing Opportunity 🐴

Kingsmead Equestrian Centre ( in Warlingham) are looking for special people to join our team ( part time to include weekdays and weekends.)

We are an Equicentric riding establishment and pride ourselves on our relationship with our horses. To work with us you would need to demonstrate a curious mindset, be willing to develop your skills set and be open to adjusting to our system.

Learning about our horses and ourselves is a key part of the journey here at Kingsmead. Curious, intrigued or excited? ....please read on.

We need someone on our "horse facing" team to prepare the horses for the working day, to muck out (simple beds) and generally maintain the yard environment ensuring the horses have a good lived experience. You will need a well grounded experience of horses and have excellent horsemanship skills.

We also require someone on our "client facing / office team" as well as working in the office you will meet and greet clients, lead in lessons and help the team with the horses where required. Essentially this varied role will be ensuring our clients also have a great experience. Horse experience would be required.

Finally we are looking for someone to help in the fields ( managing electric fencing, haying horses, poo picking) and the surrounding environment. Horse experience not necessary as training will be given however you must have an eye for detail and be able to work independently and conscientiously.

Each of the roles would require you to get on with others, be supportive of learners and be open to learning yourself! Kingsmead is as much about people as it is about horses!

Pay based on age and experience.

Opportunity to undertake a level two or three apprenticeship in horse care or business studies for the right person.

90 minute newcomers / junior hack on Wednesday 26th ( afternoon - time tbc - will go out no later than 2.30pm)

Newcomer / junior hacks are ideal for anyone who is hacking regularly and wants to try the longer route.

The hack will be conducted at a steady
pace, with a brief intro to new terrain etc.

We are repeating our popular One Day Event on Bank Holiday Monday ( 31st August).

Each rider will ride a dressage skills test, followed by a round of show jumping and a between the flags (non-jumping) round in the woods.

The day starts at 10am (final timings will depend on entries) and riders should expect to have gaps between each ridden activity. We will have two sessions: walk and trot only, and walk, trot and canter

Junior Camp starts on Wednesday

This is you last chance to sign up for three days of fun, from 19-21 August

The riders will have three days of riding ( twice a day) learning about horses and their needs. The focus for camp will be "what is my horse experiencing". This is such an important question whether you are just starting out or a doing more with the horses.

Your coaches will be Chris, Chloe, Fiona, Sophie, Katie and Amber. You will be well supported throughout.
